I just uploaded the CLI file and snmpwalk for a Nexus 5K.

The top conversation showing in Netflow will always be the conversation that did the most in the time frame you are currently viewing. In regards to your alerts, I would change them from 30 mins to 10 mins. So if bandwidth runs at 90% or more for a continuous 10 mins, then get alerted. This way you'll know about it to when…

If you have NCM, you could run a job on all your 4500's checking the modules.
-
You'll need Solarwinds NPM as a minimum. Add the 2 devices and monitor them via SNMP. Once in monitoring, you can then create the appropriate alerts for them. Hope that helps.

This is pretty easy to do with Report Writer. I just clicked on New and then selected Syslog Messages. Then I just put in the following fields for Select Fields Then I selected the following for Filter Results (this will show me all the Error syslogs. And then I just set the Time Frame for the last 24 hours. So in your…

I have found a similar thing on certain pages. Some will display the restricted nodes, other views display everything. To get around the issue, for restricted users, I've created their own menu bar and views. Then in Manage Views, I also set the limitation on "View Limitation" to just what they are allowed to see. This way…

I found with using a BGP trigger in Advanced Alert Manager that the response was not quick enough. So flaps were not detected. I'm using Syslog viewer to do my alerting on BGP flaps. I send an email when a BGP syslog comes in. These are instant, so flaps aren't missed.

Setup Realtime Change Detection. This will email you when someone makes a change to a config. To set it up go to Settings, select NCM Settings and then click on Configure Real-Time Change Detection.

I can't see a way of removing the advertising. Are you looking for a terminal session manager? Connection Manager for putty might be suitable. You could also look at mRemoteNG. Alternatively you could buy SecureCRT.

Just delete the old syslog from your menu bar as it is no longer used.

Yeah I had the same issue. My main poller stopped polling devices. I ended up running the configuration wizard again which fixed the issue for us. I also noticed that when adding new widgets, only 2 would show up. After re-running the config wizard, all the widget option showed up again. Since then when I've had to re-run…

Use Account Limitations. Then select Group of Nodes. Then when you click next, you can select the nodes you wish for them to see.
-
You could just remove the node out of NCM. Or if you don't want it to backup weekly say, just remove it from the weekly backup task.

I had to look up what Byte Club was. It seems I've been too busy to see everything that goes on in this forum

Is scanning turned off on the IP addresses in question? Cause I've noticed that if scanning is turned off and you manually run a scan, nothing happens.
-
I don't think you can. Maybe create a feature request for it.
-
One other reason could that all the alerts were acknowledge before the upgrade. After the upgrade they were no longer acknowledged?

I've just tested the "Alert me when a Thin Wireless Access Point goes down" and it worked fine for me. This is my trigger. But as the AP information is collected during the Statistics Collection, it can take a while to get a down alert. We do the Statistics Collection once every 10 mins, so I could wait up to 10 mins…

I had a similar thing occur where data collection just stopped out of the blue. I logged a call for it and Solarwinds had me do the following. Log onto your Orion Server as the account you used when you installed the software. Re-run the config wizard. Start >> Programs >> Solarwinds Orion >> Configuration & Discovery >>…

This is what I use http://solarwindsserver/Orion/NPM/InterfaceDetails.aspx?NetObject=I:${InterfaceID} and in this view I have the netflow widgets added in. I have netflow enabled on all my WAN routers and even on 3mb links, it works fine. It doesn't cause any issues for me.

Use the compliance reports to get what you're looking for.
-
I'm assuming that by Monitor Name you mean the Node Name of the device? If not, ignore what's written below This is what I've done in Report Writer In 'Filter Results' I'm using Records where Node Name is equal to xxxxxxxx Records where Interface Name is equal to GigabitEthernet x/x/x Then in the 'Select Fields' section I…

I would log a support call for this if you haven't already done so.

I'm using different subviews for different devices. Here are some of mine. General switch view Riverbed view F5 view Then I also have one for the Fibre blades & Load balancers. They both have the same titles but show different layouts/information and then I also have one for the firewalls. Having customised views allows me…

You can use the "Percent Utilization of All Interfaces" resources and change the title to a better description for your purpose, and add in a SQL command in the Filter Nodes (SQL) bit to just show the interface you're interested in.
-
The problem is with your trigger alert. Even with no reset condition, your trigger will still not email. Unless 10.0.1.1 was turned off and then back on. Then your trigger would email. You can have a trigger alert (with no reset alert) of just "IP Address is equal to 10.0.1.1" and then you will get an email. If you…

You could do this as part of the backup of configs job. I get an email once a week that shows me the difference (I only back up configs once a week). Basically I have 1 job that does all the startup configs. Then I have a second job that starts 1 hour later and it backs up all the running configs. And as part of that job…

You should be able to see this information in the Message Centre depending on which version of NPM you have. I'm on 11.0.1 and whilst I have the option to search for Audit events such as Alert Disabled, nothing shows up. I still use Advanced Alert Manager on the Solarwinds server.

I just add a link to the interface in my alert bandwidth emails. So when the email comes in, I just click on the link and I get all the NTA stats I need for that interface. Another way of doing it.
