Just caught up with this mission. Been at bit busy at work! I'm enjoying it! Thanks for another great comp.
-
I got 10 out of 10 last week but the points have not been added? Will that be done soon? Thanks!

I use an URL in my interface alerting. When I get an alert, I can just click on the URL and it takes me directly to the interface. This is what I use http://ORIONSERVERNAME/Orion/NPM/InterfaceDetails.aspx?NetObject=I:${InterfaceID} So I've just used the ${InterfaceID} variable at the end of my URL.

I only have 1 machine at home, but my wife uses it. I rarely use it unless it's to update the songs on my ipod.
-
I called Spinal Tap early for the win. Rock on
-
That's nuts. Imagine if they turn the game off. There would be mass hysteria
-
Thanks for another mission!! All green ticks this month. I hope that one day someone in Australia (i.e. me ) wins one of the prizes Keep up the great work!
-
Hit up your Cisco representative. Depending on the size of your organisation, you may be lucky.
-
Looking forward to it!
-
When it comes to music, I live mainly in the past. But in regards to the network, I've learned heaps from the past and live in the present
-
This would be a great feature to have. You can then even connect to a node from the Orion Maps view! A competitor product has this feature, would be great for Solarwinds to include it.
-
Yeah I noticed the same thing. Odd.
-
Wow! I thought no one would be using it. We stopped with 3.12. I did do my CNE for version 4 but we never actually installed it. NDS looked remarkably like AD some years later.....

To be honest, I'm only a member of Thwack. I'm not a member of any other IT communities. But I will look into Spiceworks. I will read blogs from time to time but only if they come up for what ever I happen to be searching at the time. I'm on Thwack to learn more about Solarwinds.
-
I agree. If SNMP does eventually get replaced by something else, then surely Solarwinds will easily co-exist with it. And so will we.
-
That's awesome. I'd love to see what a "clean" install looks like.
-
Yes the cloud does add to the monitoring complexities. I just hope that all staff don't end up in the cloud!
-
I disagree. It's more about protecting what they had already released.
-
Hope it's a good one! Wish I could be there. I loved Austin when I was there in 2017.
-
This needs to be voted up! I'm surprised it can't be done as yet! Please vote

I hear ya. Here it is also getting harder to get training. Money is getting tighter and tighter. People are being made redundant all the time. But they do try and give you training at least once every 2-3 years which is better than nothing. Although I'm just thankful that I still have a job.
-
I guess you got it wrong
-
Thanks but I actually posted a comment earlier this year in your link I still think syslogs are the way to go so you know instantly if there's an issue. I thought I'd ask the question as things may have changed. I haven't seen anything else yet that can detect flapping links like syslog can.
-
I remember you as well:D
-
This looks really cool. But we too have service now.
-
Same here.
-
Yes unfortunately there will always be that rogue employee. Gotta keep an eye on everything.
-
Thanks for the great puzzle! Plenty of tricky ones that take time to get the answers. Got all green ticks for the down ones. Bring on next week
-
Food looks awesome!. I love food especially when it's 'all you can eat'

I wish it was summer here, we are heading into winter. Although winter here is like summer in the UK Thanks for the links.
