Sorry! Your screen shot really does look fine. Maybe OpsGenie's endpoint doesn't like proxied traffic or SSL inspection?
-
Good thoughts, but JSON shouldn't be the problem in this case. I've been using the OpsGenie integration for almost a year. The HTTPS POST action that is built into NPM actually does work fine as long as the API key, URI, and post string are correct. Since the op indicated that no traffic is being noted in OpsGenie logs, my…

So is the script currently giving you the output that you want? If so, is a value of '0' or '1' critical and the other a warning? Or to word it differently, what condition would be considered critical?

jfaldmo wrote: These alerts don't even show up in the UI. I'm assuming they are out-of-the box alerts from an older version that can't be migrated. Oh, of course....that makes perfect sense in the context of this error message. I like mesverrum's answer.

Great, I hope it does help! For an example of how I used this, see my post about creating a customizable web site monitor with PowerShell: Web Site (PowerShell) monitor template that allows customized healthy status codes .

Ah, that is a significant piece of information. Has the node been deleted?
-
Have you looked at Log Manager, which has a new release candidate available for testing? Log Manager 2.0 Release Candidate is Now Available

Hoping to be able to provide feedback soon! For various reasons, we've decided to defer our upgrade to 2019.4.

Oh, interesting. So alerts won't run on an APE, even if the node in question is being monitored by the APE and the Orion engine service is running on both PEs?
-
Interesting. Please share the results of this ticket.
-
Hmm, I'm going to have to set this up for 2 applications in particular.
-
I guess I'd just say that the problem is happening in NPM's creation of the HTML email and translation of the variables within it...not with Gmail itself. You're on the right track with NPM.

+1 to Dan, with special emphasis for installing a valid Orion certificate.
-
It looks like Always On was configured for your NTA database but not [ completely? | properly? ] configured for your primary Orion database.

Oh, and which log do your Ajax events get sent to? Are they in the Windows Application logs, or in their own log under Applications and Services Logs?
-
Cool. So when it works without your keyword filter ("Cannot Create Thread") is it just alerting on all events that get logged to the "Ajax" log?

Ah, thanks. For anyone with the same question as me, NAM is a bundle of Solarwinds products. From the product page: Network Automation Manager (NAM) provides integrated network automation tools and operations management software for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid IT environments. This product includes the following…

Done! Was the request written clearly enough?
-
Well, to be fair, it WOULD be both fun AND geeky. (?)
-
I would agree. You should be able to manually set/update the certificate bindings in IIS without having to run the configuration wizard.
-
Oh, really? Haha, I'm on the site almost every day and didn't notice that button until yesterday! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keep up the great work!

It's not subject to the whim's of Windows where it needs to authenticate and get logged, etc. It should be much more efficient than WMI polling, not to mention more secure (ie: its encrypted) and not prone to authentication or…

Hmmm, this does remind me that the action would benefit from having greater flexibility around headers, authentication, etc.

@"haris_salim", please note @"shuth"'s comment about shrinking the DB. Reducing the actual size of any DB is a manual process. Read through https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/databases/shrink-a-database to gain more understanding about that process.

We moved our NPM/NCM/IPAM server to a different AD forest two years ago during a project that involved an upgrade and the addition of SAM, SRM, and VMAN. There are a few related posts that can be found on Thwack, but every situation is unique. You'll ultimately want to open a support ticket to make sure that nothing is…

Per Danielle, "Yes, the SCP voucher expires 6 months from date of purchase."

It tells you right away if you passed. The results don't show you which questions you got right or wrong, but it does give you a break down of the question categories, with what percentage you got correct in each category.

I like the dynamic nature of this. Have you tried the same approach with nodes being muted? We rarely unmanage in our environment, because we still want to collect stats during maintenance windows. Still, the one gotcha that remains is that if you excluded unmanaged and muted nodes from the group, you can no longer rely on…

Also paranoid and hopefully will soon be adding a layer at the SaaS level so we can benefit from a certain cloud provider's machine learning across their services.

Defining the range for each threshold/severity also works well for me.
