Has anyone figured out why this report is NOT pulling Cisco ASA firewall serial devices? If so what was the fix? I have the device poller for the hardware tags for ASA's but not coming in on the report?

I have tried to configure an alert to email me when an interface changes its state to down but I am not having any luck. I basically want to be email anytime an interface goes down or in err-disabled status for port security reasons. Suggestions anyone?

Still confused. I created a group and called it Key Devices, and sorted by node -> vendor. I added my key device routers/switches. Then I have a view I called "Critical Device Summary" Highlighted that view in the list and selected edit on the right side. Then it takes me to a screen where I can customize (screenshot…

Does Orion need to be set to monitoring all the ports on the switch if you want syslog messages for port activity on the switch? or does it dump all info on to the syslog server?
-
System Performace monitor service is set to automatically start but when I click System Performance Monitor application the service stops. I cannot keep the service started.

How can I simulate a test on this alert? Also how can I display this table on the dashboard?

SolarWinds support is basically telling me that my scenario will not work the way I want it to. This is my Scenario: Can you explain of point me to an KB that explains what Dameware authentication requirements are needed for cross-domain use. I have one top level forest domain with multiple child domains. We are domain…

Hotfixes have broken my orion email alerts!!!! Anyone else have this happen?
-
Whoa, can you point me to some documents on how to configure this?
-
Can someone point me to some online resources for this stuff? Or videos on how to do this because I am not understanding I guess. Sorry. I am very new at this custom view stuff, like 3 days new. I usually can get by with the built in views, but requirements have come across for more indepth monitoring on my network.

I have a 6500 with about 144 ports and I need to just monitor a port channel and 2 interfaces. Thats all. I need to do this for multiple devices in my network. I want this to be my landing page when I open the Web Console. I want to see the Key Devices on my network that can make or break it, and the Key Interfaces on…

Nevermind. You meant the actually physical server not the orion we web console. Thanks.

Is it also possible to monitor only certain interfaces from a certain node? So can I group interfaces from my core router, then bring them into a custom view.
-
Is it possible I am having issues because the view is "Node Details"? Maybe I need to use "Summary"?
-
Also nothing to edit the actual list of nodes.
-
And I only see the option to limit the view, no filters at all?
-
The custom package did not work for me, suggestions?

All domains are child domains of a parent domain, so trust is there. I added the domain admins of Domain2 to the local admins built in group in AD for domain1. I can connect to a PC in domain 1 with my credentials from domain2, but I do not have control, or I get an error about not being a local admin of the machine.…

Is there already a vote thread active?

When you go through the process of adding a node, you can add custom pollers for like cisco devices to check temp, or bgp neighbors, I need to see which ones are assigned to each device?
-
Sorry, not the server pooler, but the actual uDP/MIB that is attached to each node.
-
Is that like a sub condition?
-
A few things...how are you offloading the file within a static script when the data variable changes? Also how are you able to complete the sftp login when prompted for password?
-
I have over 50 subnets for multiple locations so I want the ability for that local admin to pull a list of available IP's for that site specific subnet.

I am using 7.0.2. I created a syslog alert that looks for key terms like "configured" "console""vty" and I am getting emails but I want to know what the change is exactly, not that someone just made a change. I am using single machine integration with NPM and NCM
-
Cisco Switches and we are using both syslog and traps. I am seeing them in the syslog "configured from console by blah blah on vty0 (Node IP Address)
-
I do not see the View --> alerts/filter rule options from the syslog menue in orion.

Any instructions on this task?
