No, you aren't. They aren't making assumptions about anyone's mindset. Full stop.

Yeah, Sir Captain Picard has held up well. And he's so much more that Trek, too. I love him on American Dad and he did a 5 minute short film some years back that was simply amazing.
-
The chain o' command says he's not an equal. He can take command, sure, but only if certain conditions are satisfied. Number one among those being, of course, if Kirk puts him in command. That seems pretty side-kicky to me.

Mine are all a pretty pale white. A little rouge would do them some good, I think.
-
Yup, sure looks like a radio should be box issue or missing "not".
-
Another video. Oh well, at least intuition and dumb luck spared me from the dreaded red X.
-
Trusting a device has nothing to do with whether or not it's rogue. Trusting it doesn't make it trustworthy, it just means you trust it - perhaps erroneously.

I can see that. I also believe, though, that anyone who would base a purchasing decision even in part on how a free contest played out should have the right to any input into purchasing decisions permanently revoked. A flubbed hint here doesn't say anything about what matters - how well the product works for a specific use…

We're a community that helps each other. In most cases folks try to only hint at the answer. In this case, the answer is a bit harder to locate since so many folks are answering past the date the question refers to. Personally I think its perfectly OK that posted all of that info. It's kind of an odd case here.

Yeah, I do it to kill some time, to learn some stuff and, to a lesser extent, gain some points (my old gamer days apparently still have a bit of a hold - I'd play UO and collect a ton of gold and hardly spend any ). I'm also aware that I'm incredibly unlikely to win - haven't yet! But the thought struck me, it was early…

One more thing in Meraki's favor: If a unit fails in someone's home you can have Meraki ship a replacement and all the end user needs to do is plug it in. I really appreciate that aspect as our current hardware replacement model is ... wanting in comparison. Old gear and remote sites makes that part of the gig pretty…

It's a potential disaster for scotch, too. I mean, that stuff is all barley. When we were over there one of the tours mentioned that a distillery in the area was in danger of shutting down due to a rapidly diminishing water supply. Sounds crazy for Scotland but there you are. We were there for 10 days and, aside from most…

Yes. To be included in the weekly prize drawing you need to get the week's questions correct and you need them all for the month.
-
We could end that one before it starts, though: Lobo.
-
Better check with NetPath.
-
Ah, an admirable post. I appreciate that.
-
I can definitely see the argument that the question and answer do not line up 100%. Cuz they don't. All I'm saying is that if you're careful you can puzzle it out pretty quickly. Whether you should have to or not is not a question I can answer.
-
Just checked to see if I can still see them and I can. Using Chrome 66.0.3359.181.

Just gotta wait til the Texas workday starts and someone will flip the toggle. Or are the Thwack staff in Cali?
-
I wasn't alive in the 60s and I've seen all of those shows. But yeah, no Spock is a tragedy. And the oversight is made even more blatant when you consider the popularity of the reboot, too.
-
Always a good practice ... especially so recently.
-
Incorrect. There is an answer and it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your company. Don't answer based on "what we do here", answer based on what Solarwinds expects.
-
I don't think I'm doing that at all. You said what you said and if you don't want to defend it, that's on you. Enjoy the rest of your day.
-
I don't think anyone here is saying the hint shouldn't be fixed or disparaging anyone else. Sometimes a comment is just a comment.
-
I was able to get it correct. They want to know how many nodes are in warning due to an issue with the Solarwinds Backup application. Some of the nodes in warning are not in that state because of an issue with the specified application. Have to dig a little for this one (er, sorta) but the answer is there. EDIT: Ok, so…
-
Yeah, that's the new one, believe it or not. The first one was even worse. I guessed both times I answered and got it wrong the first time but right the second. Maybe I should have been able to get the answer without guessing, I dunno, but I tried for a bit and then figured "what the heck" and took a shot in the dark.
-
You can also select a node and use the filter functions to find the answer.
-
And don't forget the points you can use in the Thwack store. Just took delivery of an awesome t-shirt, a cool badge thingy and ... my Thwackpack. So awesome!
-
Cool, thanks for the explanation. Like I said, for me it wasn't a big deal at all. Happy to see it shouldn't be a big deal for anyone else.
-
I would have to agree.
