psssht, you are not supposed to spoil the correct answer

Hello. During the 1h you selected, there were no critical events, that's why they don't show up next to info and warning level. Test it with a 12h timeframe and you should see the critical level showing up. Best regards, Steffen
-
Nope. "AppInsight" is just a super template with much more info than normal ones provide. And it only costs 30 / 50 component-licenses instead of the ~70 components being monitored there. Licensing details here: SAM licensing model detailed - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support
-
Hello. Best I can come up with is to create your own report to list installed software & hardware: Success Center Or use / modify existing asset inventory reports: Best regards, Steffen Gutzeit

Sounds good. When the repair / reconfigure didn't do the trick you can reach out to your SolarWinds Sales Rep who in turn can organise technical support for you.
-
If that's not working then open up a support ticket as you might be affected by a bug (caused by Diffie-Hellman key size set to 2048 bit) for which SolarWinds has a solution. Seeing you are testing VMAN at the moment, I'd say to reach out to your SolarWinds Sales Account Manager to get a Pre-Sales Engineer to assist you.
-
license won't be affected as "SolarWinds VMAN is licensed by Physical CPU Sockets on your VMWare or HyperV Hosts." When you add your VMware vCenter it would be one node that we manage. However we see that on this vCenter there would be 2 ESXi hosts behind it. They would be shown to you but they would not be considered as…

There should be training videos in your Customer Portal. And there are really good "getting started" guides you can download as pdf. NPM: Network Performance Monitor Getting Started Guide - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support NCM: Network Configuration Manager Getting Started Guide - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help…

Heya. This might be by design. In order to install agents Orion needs to know the login credentials for the server(s) in question. When you are only monitoring via ICMP we assume that you don't have the proper creds and thus won't be able to install the agent software. Might be a feature request for serena though to have…
-
oh bummer, looks like a feature request then for serena

A more lightweight solution would be the Log Analyzer module of Orion which can show you all of the Windows events: Windows System Event Log Monitoring Software and Log Collector | SolarWinds
-
Yep, read-only. I was just concerned about your statement: "[...] and don't allow them to view any information regarding these nodes"
-
Hi Alan. Actually there is no overlap yet. ARM can be seen as a standalone product. While a lot of SolarWinds' products are in fact based on the Orion platform like NPM, SAM, VMAN, IPAM they all exist on the same server (Orion), use the same database and they share the same alerting/reporting and can be used with the…
-
good point! Thanks for sharing that info. Success Center -> one of the fixes was: "Config backup jobs work as expected when configs are transferred via TFTP and 64 bit is selected."
-
1) enter editing mode 2) enter page settings 3) there you can "enable NOC view" but I suggest to "enable left navigation" as well in order to create multiple pages (tabs) within the view Good luck, Steffen
-
Well ideally you upgrade your IPAM / Orion version which is more than 2 years old. Meanwhile though you could try to repair the Collector: Unable to see DNS Zones After Adding DNS Server to IPAM - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Best regards, Steffen
-
Should you be up for it you could participate in beta testing to provide feedback or submit feature requests. The flow based alerting was just introduced in the last NTA version so I assume there are plans of adding more options. Keep an eye on the "What We Are Working On" page: What we're working on for NTA post 4.5…

Hello. You could create multiple users for Orion and limit their permissions, like having an Exchange Admin who is only allowed to see the Exchange Server and its stats, reports and alerts. That might be some hassle though and 1 Admin account is probably better who has (read) access to all servers and thus can see how all…
-
run the test and make sure your creds are correct and that the port is white-listed
-
then we have to put our faith into the manual installation method as suggested by pratikmehta003 : Deploy an agent manually to a Linux/Unix-based computer
-
Hello Maciek, Another approach could be to use reports where you can for example display top 5 applications for your nodes sorted by interfaces. Something like this report that I quickly build by modifying the oob "Top 100 Applications - Last 24 Hours" Best regards, Steffen
-
Could you check please whether your trial period is still active please? But it looks off alright as you don't even see the grouping/filter option.
-
I would advise to take a look at the alert trigger and action. The out-of-the-box alerts should tell you what component / application was triggered and on what application / server.
-
Hello. You can go directly to the content exchange and download the templates from there: Server & Application Monitor Then you can import them into Orion in order to use them: Import and export templates in SAM - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Best regards, Steffen
-
from: Success Center CAUSE This can happen if there is an issue with the licensed socket count. If you check the licensed sockets in the License Details page, you may find that it is negative. RESOLUTION * Restart the SolarWinds Orion Module Engine service. * Check the licensed socket count again. It should show the…

Hi Jaime, When you add a vCenter it will show you the hosts that belong to it. However in order to get the full features of VMAN you will have to mark those hosts as being managed by VMAN/Orion. Could you check whether that is the case for you?
-
Hello. Your screenshot is hard to read but I can see that the (operational) status is gray = unknown. Check whether that is always the case and whether Orion is able to get all the required object IDs via snmp from the device: Success Center Best regards, Steffen

Hello Chandrashekar, It is not possible to use formulas to create your own calculations like 22 + 66 = 37 What you can do is to change the value of the interface bandwidth so the % utilisation is correct, like 40mb usage of a 100mb line = 40% and lets say the transmit speed of this 100mb line is just 50mb then a 40mb usage…
-
I never used this one here but sounds like could be useful for you. For each website you want to monitor you create a template where the vbscript can write to a unique txt file: Success Center
-
check the default location "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\ConfigurationWizard.exe" When it's not there, a repair might do the trick. From the Control Panel * Open Program Features * Select SolarWinds Orion Core Services * Select Repair
