Not really where I was going...but I'm having trouble describing it. I don't think that the ActionID or AlertID fields correspond.

Thanks for the bump, borgan. This is going to be a serious challenge for those who are SQL masters...

Will this work on a machine which had not been able to poll yet? I know I have some servers which were set up with WMI and since have stopped providing counters...will it detect these, if I had just now set it up?

Bump for the day crew. I need to include this in my report too...not everyone has access to Orion, and not everyone wants to open Orion and sift through all the current alerts to hunt down one drive out of several hundred of the same device.

So no tab for SRM in my main console? Yes, I am confused by the difference between SRM Profiler and SRM Orion....though I'm pretty sure it is the new one…

Now I find that if I use it on a different server I have to use a different database. Will they still share data? I can still get all the info I need in a single appstack?

Not everyone has access to Orion to sort through the "Active Alerts" table, nor does everyone who gets these alerts want to have to sign in and bother with navigating. They just want…

To extend the original post ... I want to take my custom polled value, set a threshold on it, and assign the result to a line in Atlas. For instance, if I have two lines leaving a switch, and they are controlled administratively (link light never goes out on either leg), then I want to be able to poll the OID representing…

Great post, Alex! Your attention to detail is astounding. Maybe you can talk to a related topic...VMware Site Recovery Manager. As you probably know, SRM is a method of DR management, whereby entire sets of servers are simply duplicated, reproduced and hosted on different hardware at a different physical location than the…
