Did a fresh installation of 2019.4 with NPM, NCM & NTA modules. Installation went smooth and successful. So far so good. Proceeding with the configurations. Will update more on the go. Meantime I have seen it was asking to install Log viewer and I have given NO. Just want to if I can do the logviewer installation later…
-
For my new installation, the login page is taking more time to load, but other pages looks fine. What can be the reason for it?
-
Yes, I did offline installer, however my server was having internet connection during installation.
-
I think OLV requires a separate database right. I haven't factored that now, that's why haven't installed it. I am thinking of installing it later based on my syslog and traps requirements.

Decision to support Windows 2012 in 2020.2 version is a great one. This will help many customers, I am one among them Thanks Solarwinds team.

Refer the multi module guidelines for that. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-multi-module-system-guidelines.htm

We have faced a similar issue once where one of the pages was giving time out. It was due to an IPSLA dashboard widget in that page which was actually causing the error. Once the widget was removed we were able to access the page. From the error details we were able to identify that IPSLA widget was causing the error.…

Orion 2020.2 supports SQL server 2016. You can install Orion 2020.2 in Windows 2019 boxes and point to existing database while running the configuration wizard. Hope your NTA is using SQL database. Refer this link for details. documentation.solarwinds.com/.../install-legacyinstwalkthrough.htm

Can you please try this SWQL SELECT Count(1) as total, status FROM Orion.Nodes a where a.CustomProperties.<CustomProperty Name> = '<CustomProperty Value>' GROUP by Status order by total ASC
-
Your requirement is to show the status of certain nodes having specific custom properties, is it?
-
I am not 100% sure of that, but I don't think it will ask for reboot from my upgrade experience.
-
Thanks @"mesverrum" for your quick response. I too agree to the point you stated. But considering the document I mentioned, I am trying to know what will be the impact of IIS getting removed. Its a customer ask, so need to be specific.
-
Thanks @"adatole". It would be helpful if this is captured in the Port requirements document (https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/orionplatform/Content/core-solarwinds-port-requirements.htm) also as that is the one everyone will refer in first hand.
-
Thanks all for the response. We are using 2020.2.1 HF2 and rebuilding the Solarwinds environment with old database. The issue was resolved with the help of support by dropping the DB table in the error.
-
You can use the Oracle Database application template which is having Oracle user Experience Monitor component monitors. In each of these component monitors you can provide the port number and listener of your database

Please refer this for creating dashboard. In that he has provided sample SWQL queries also for dashboards. https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/The-Orion-Platform-Documents/Orion-Platform-2020-2-Modern-Dashboards/ta-p/586258
