Probably one of reasons why those vendors propriety NMS tools are still in business... Solarwids discovery engine can get snmp status of CDP|LLDP you will probably will be fine on CDP network... Solarwinds can’t give you the full picture when you are multivendor..

Hi NCM inventory can generate a report with 100,000 records or more if I don't filter something out.... Try to push that out.... Sure like to see some progress on that..

solarwinds could/should update Netbox or any other 3 party CMDB dynamically about changes with the inventory Just like alert that update CP that could be update /change of hardware /new hardware plug in ... Source of truth that get validation.
