A lot of linux users may become a bit grumpy because of this now. CoffeeIceCream Day on Sept. 6. mmmm My favorite two addictions. Coffee to keep me awake, ice cream to make me feel better all while I casually change the scale so that it will always be showing 10 kg's less then the persons actual weight. I think this is one…

Whoa! I really want to go back and learn how to do some proper fishing. My dad used to take me fishing when I was younger, but then he started feeling bad about the hook in fish part... so we stopped. But I know I always loved the waking up at ungawdly hours to go off together to the pier for some fishing part. It was nice…

Great story! NPM is a BEAST! (it has so many ways of helpful monitoring! )

"I just need you to hold out until..." Makes me just think of someone who is used to putting out small fires as they pop up, instead of trying to plan ahead. Another great article, nicely done!

Yeeessss! The amount of times in past jobs when asking about if there were backups made, the most common answers would be, 1. Backups? uh..no, never took any... 2. Backups? Oh yeah of course.. we did one I believe two years ago.... -_-; or 3. Backups? Yes! Here! .....These...aren't backups of the right part of the…

Very interesting topic adatole "How often, I'm left wondering, do we build fences?" Too often. More times then the individual is probably even aware of. I think by nature every human has some sort of fence. Not all fences are bad, but not all are good either. It can be healthy to have certain boundaries, and sometimes not…

This is a great list, and it covers all the fundamentals for security! End User Training is a big one.

It IS rather interesting when you take in the differences of what a US customer would ask vs. European customer. Same thing for African or Middle Eastern, and let's not forget APAC region of customers. It's not that either side has better questions, it's just interesting how each can have just completely different…

Just my personal views regarding this topic: Backups. Backups backups backups...I honestly can not repeat that word enough. Some victims of malware just don't have the backups to restore files, and they end up trying to pay to try and get the key to decrypt their encrypted files...but then what's there to stop the bad guys…

Nice articles! By the way, is the car really really small? or are you just really really reeeeally tall? lol

But it's SOO HAARRDDD to turn off DANGIT! *forces self to put phone on silent and away in pocket*. Switching off I have found is defiantly beneficial to ones health. After a busy work day, I find that my brain and body is still on 110% work mode, even after work. Full of the urgency, I have to get something done, I should…

I think we all know what these TravelLog entries should start with from now on: Ey Captain Adato? What do you think?

I think titles can bring value, but they can also present obstacles. If you're stuck with a level1 or junior title, I have seen other people think about skipping said person to go to the next level, which doesn't make sense. Since they are not stopping to think that this is person is just as highly trained professional as…

Is... is your hair really green? or were you wearing a green hat?

Found this, and now I can't stop laughing. hahahah!

Has anyone started watching Scorpion? It's not too bad, and I can't help but start laughing about some of the programming and calculation skills that they have. A group of individuals with different skillsets, who have one big thing in common: Ridiculously high IQ. lulz!

Woow! Looks like you guys had a very busy and fun time! Thanks for sharing with us on how everything went.

That's what I was wondering. Allow for the machines to start fixing themselves, then suddenly they start to improve how fast they fix themselves, then they start coming up with new ways to fix and improve themselves and then they've advanced their improvements to a point where it has past the point of the technology level…

I feel like a lot of the other responses to this well written and excellent post will be: The statements in this post are well put, with some very good suggestions on figuring out just how to adjust the memory and settings accordingly with the needs of the environment. It can be very hard to convince some people though…

I think...I need to take a break in the star trek marathon I've been going through. -_- I saw the word 'Core' and reacted with: DUMP THE CORE! QUICK!..oh.. wait.. nevermind >.> Putting that aside, the writeup is very well written and has some good points. I think it's good to be active in the different techie meetups that…

This is a very interesting post with very good questions. Does anyone remember Microsofts Twitter AI, Tay? goo.gl/2N39mJ and now they have Zo: goo.gl/a38Qud How do you guys think they should have approached things regarding Tay? Felt like a 10 year old given access to the internet ...without any guidance or anything around…

AOL - having flashbacks to the time I found most of my usa friends were using aol more then msn (omg msn chat), and I had to use both if I wanted to keep in contact with them overseas. Sucks for the employees I hope they'll be alright. Eat as much food as possible >OMG it's that time of the year to INHALE the food!…

Ransomware: One thing a lot of people forget as well, sadly, is backups! Backup backup backup! Do all those backups and stop putting them off to another day.

CopyCat hackers... I know it's easy to say and probably hard to do if you're stuck in such a sucky situation, but STOP PAYING THE HACKERS MONEY! Even for ransomware situations like cryptolocker, there is never any guarantee that you will be provided with the correct key.... then even worse..they might GET YOU AGAIN! I've…
