Awesome Registered for 'em all! I missed out on attending in person last year (working), can't make it to the US this year (buying a house, no spare cash for flights ), but we've got a EMEA group now, so I'll definitely be watching those!

20/20 vision this time for me too. Best of luck to all the Thwackers in the running for the weekly/monthly prizes! Remember, if you don't win a prize, your brain still thanks you for playing, as you've undoubtedly learned something!

Zomg only one more chance!

@"danielleh" When you have time, could you credit my answer to Day 11 please? I voted, but the tick isn't showing up

Thanks for the recap saschg! There are many new cool things on the horizon. AppInsight for AD in SAM and visibility of VMware logs with VMAN are going to be HUGE!
-
Did you have a good time? Will you come to another SWUG in the future?
-
shh... don't dis the DevOps "revolution"... they'll moan at us for not being on board with the new buzz word

I've done my part!

That needs to be on a T-Shirt....

Also "Patience of a Saint - Spent at least 100 hours in your career on pointless conference calls... WITHOUT loosing your patience!" would be a great achievement. I'd wear this one, too!

Thanks for the heads up Maria

Thanks for a well-formed piece of commentary, rorz! This "cloud" isn't going to dissipate, so we all have to accept that the marketeers and technologists have won the war when it comes to offering fast, cheap (eventually), and secure (allegedly) product, which anyone can buy in to. For startups, using the cloud is a…

Morning all! I may be trying the question too early, but when I go to the hint for question 11, I get routed to a dead page on GNS3's site. Just a heads up, community peeps! I'll try again after lunch, UTC.

I get by with 5-6 CPs in most customer environments. It is possible to go too mad, and make too many, and that can just hinder more than help, as @"marlief22" mentioned.

Sounds awesome to me, I'll be there (even if I have to put my headset on to enjoy the show, work, work!). Thwack is still the best technical community I've ever been lucky enough to be a member of, and long may it be so! 13 is also my lucky number, perhaps it's a good omen!

Another good thing to do is to ensure that your NOC has a simple view. In line with "Keeping IT Stupid Simple" I used to setup the view for my NOC where it ONLY showed values that were NOT green. Minimal number of resources were shown, and all thresholds were benchmarked (even the custom ones). Having good, informative…

Hey guys. I have a question as to whether OpenShift is supported on 2019.2? While it uses the Kubernetes core, one of my clients has seen issues when trying to run the onboarding scripts as per the Kubernetes section on containers in the admin guide. Rather than burn through vendor support time, if would be great to know…

True enough clubby. I submitted this mostly for those who don't have the powah of SAM. I not aware of a UnDP template which works with SAM (you plug in the MIB and it returns a value, for example). If there is one, it would be a handy work around while this is voted on (fingers crossed it gets the notice of the devs)

Great quiz! Nice trip down memory lane

If it's 5 years old, it may need a couple of bumps to get their attention.. some things go stale, over time. That likely includes old FRs, unfortunately 'll do my but, though! I will look at both, and vote them up if I agree with the content / can replicate the problem. Ultimately, negativity isn't going to help, although…

Impressive, Mr Crows!

It's NERF.... or nothing!

I support this idea, although we need to be mindful that SWI also have Log and Event Manager (LEM). From a product perspective, in this customer's perspective, there cannot be an overlap between LEM and NPM, else many people will simply stick with NPM and not have access to the additional features available in LEM. Also,…

Well played sqlrockstar! You took the most efficient route for the business with the steps you took When things go wrong, taking responsibility is one of the toughest and scariest things to do in our arena, as whenever things go wrong inevitably someone, somewhere looses money. Whether that be in resources needed to fix…

Why is it called "Chunkin'" rather than the expected "Chuckin'"? Do they have blades in the cannons that chop them up into chunks, or is the name referring to the inevitable demise of the pumpkin when it hits a solid object?
-
Has to be WarGames. "Would you like to play a game?"
-
Voted! The more power for users, the better. Ultimately, there may need to be a disclaimer on this, due to the way some cloudy providers charge for the number of API requests, but other than that, I'm all for it!

lol @ today's question! Redskins FTW

I have done my duty.

Good one. I've been looking in to something similar for a THWACKer, who asked if you could get a path up as a map. A lot of head scratching later, I have to admit defeat. I can get it working by using a custom HTML resource which embeds a specific path URL, which could work in a NOC view (of the width and high HTML code is…
