our issue is when research has to be done to figure out how to fix the issue. There are so many resources with partial answers, so several resources have to be reviewed before you get the complete solution.

i agree it would be hard, but you could start with 2 things - the 10 commandments and the laws of the countries.

Alerts and Metrics are two different things... I use alerts to monitor systems, up-time, issues, and performance; I use metrics to make business decisions and update the Board of Directors on business impacts, opportunities, and successes.
