I still have a hard time understanding NSX. I get virtualization - it runs on server hardware...where does NSX run and how does it know of all the switches and routers in my network? It can't run on my cisco equipment nor my fortinet equipment...

i agree - let's spend thousands of dollars on a system, but lets just put in the IP Address and that's that...<waves hand like a jedi> "you don't need to configure this system properly"

the problem I have is, IF they decide to replace the tools, they replace them with something that's been outdated for several years already...

I do think that progress and investments in AI are required, I also can't help but be a tad bit worried we'll take it too far...think "Terminator", "AI", "i Robot", "2001", etc...
