mikenai That link sure does wonders when it actually relates to the question at hand. I wonder if there will be a second chance for Monday's question...one can only hope.

Mistakes happen...it's how we learn as humans. I learned today, therefore I am human.

I usually wear it every Friday (during warmer weather obviously) and I get so many dirty looks too! It's awesome...Friday means downtime is coming for us because we have Solarwinds to let us relax.

Whoops! My eyes played tricks on me and I misread the server name on today's question.

We understand that Cyber Monday is going to happen; regardless of device users access it with. Smartphones, Laptops, you name it they will find a way to watch the timer tick down to Zero before they break the point-and-click device they have in use. Great information on the things to come. I feel we all need to be prepared for the evolution of DevOps.

This month hasn't been the easiest for me, but I am satisfied. I may not have won as many points as others, but I have gained so much more in knowledge.

Yes, we have but not sure why it alerted at all in the first place. It was acknowledged, but triggered again.
-
It wasn't actually "installed" any longer but the remnants of it being there before seems to have caused the problem in the end.
-
OK, so here is what the issue turned out to be. DPA (Database Performance Analyzer) was installed on the same server as NPM. This will NOT work. Reason: Information Service is used by both applications but use different ports. So when a function is called upon NPM, the Information Service will not understand since the port…

This did not resolve the issue, so I have a case opened with Support.
-
I found the issue on the Customer Portal, which states to re-install the Information Service. Error when trying to mute and unmute alerts: Muting alerts failed - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

I would start here. What are you trying to monitor? One application or many? Using the Application Monitor will set you up with what you need. We use it for many different applications on multiple nodes.
-
We simply place nodes in groups relative to their purpose and tick one box to unmanage / remanage all at once. Look into Custom Properties and create a Group for the nodes you need to bulk manage.
