My very clean view. I hate lots of things (you should see my youtube and my desktop) everything is situated around either the menu, reports, or through groups. I don't enjoy lots of things cluttering up my desktop. I like to be able to shrink it down into nothing and expands it when I want to with how I want to.

What if I don't have one because I hate clutter and lots of little things around me? And for example, I have simply done lots of groups to represent my estate?

Don't know why I posted without writing things. I want to exclude the ESXL drives from my drive storage alert, but I cant seem to find them (I wrote evault as I was trying to look for the nodes as well) and it doesn't detect them. Update - Ok, I managed to find them.

I assume this requires a licence for HA? Has this replaced the failover engine?

I've just answered my own question...Networks didn't do the firewall changes I asked for months ago. -.-
-
As an update, I tried WMI with my credentials and the domain admin credentials and still get a failure. I also tried a basic status only and still got issues with it.
-
Ok, so I had a work around. I created a report and assigned the interfaces to an individual report. So I don't need that script anymore.

I've answered my own question.

Bump, if anyone can help me. Would be nice to get some advice for this.

If I think about it, I wonder if it's an issue of when we moved sites. It start to play up when we changed the location of the solarwinds server.
-
I think you get conflicts in solarwinds. I know I did when I had an IP address conflict (I used a small test server.)

I will just add as well, that it had given me a such frustration all day, to have this not an unknown state makes me so happy.
-
I have remedied my own problem. Switched to ICMP, then back to SNMP and it just fixed itself. I don't know how, but well done to myself. Now only 62 unknown devices/applications to go...

Although I have another issues I cannot work my head around. I have migrated about half of our environment, but the other half is just simply not wanting to be discovered. I have one GPO that is applying all of my currently old soalrwinds settings and my new solarwinds settings. I have the firewalls setup so that…

Ok, I just figured out why it wasn't working...I didn't increase the discovery time...

Bumo - does anyone have any experience on this as the Redhat team hasn't helped me in forever.

I can't believe that during this process you never had a problem. For the last week I have had consistent issues with the front end dying. Today, after numerous reboots, services stopping, configs and rebuilds, after 3 hours, I have managed to get it running. I have calls open and there doesn't seem to be a permanent fix…

Solarwinds is now horribly unstable. This.

Does this just cover NPM? Or every other solarwinds application that you have? I am building a new environment and noticed that HA is available to NPM (I need to check this) but at the same time, I would like all of my other applications on HA. We can't have always on as it's expensive as a pair of Bill Gates' socks (it…

Update - I might have found a kb article that assists me in my issues. https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Server_Application_Monitor_(SAM)/Linux_script_execution_error_when_running_under_root_on_HPUX_template

I'd need to RDP in, but that's a rule. You can even report on it and have it sent to you via an email to the time of your choice.

Sorry about the lack of communication over the last few days, I am unsure where the time went! From my investigation I feel that, due to the design of solarwinds, I can't do what I would have liked to have done. It's not the end of the world. I feel that there are some features that would be nice within solarwinds (I am…

It's been three days with no crashing. So lets see how long it holds out for.

After a new server in a new environment and a new install, it's *** itself again. I'll send diags to solarwinds to get them to look at.
