I don't think this is biased on what OS you use. I think it's affecting everything that it's been put on.

Done patches prior to doing the application upgrade. Did a reboot so that all patches were applied.

I'm once again going to sound stupid. I have a years worth of data in terms of peak CPU and peak memory usage. If some CPU's never even use 25% usage, would I still need to set it to 90/98%? Or can I set these values to what I feel would be necessary for the vm? Once again thank you all for your assistance.

At present the alerts as sent to us and the customer and then we either resolve the issue if it's customer impacting (during out of hours and its systems critical) or we simply wait for it to resolve itself. Eg - an SQL job will run which will indicate that the service is up. Once the job is finished we will receive an…

That's the results I have gotten when trying to pull them. I did suspect that it would be like that. To pull passwords for business critical applications as a plain text format seems irresponsible and really lax in security.

Another question: can I import anything from an old solarwinds server to a new one? I don't want any of the historical data, reports, alerts, or other as I feel all of that is either redundant, out of date or other. I have also discovered that some nodes that are systems critical are not being monitored (corrected today…

Ok, so I think I have it. I receive the following when I logon as the test user: The giant wall Customers I don't like, I guess I would need to remove that? They can't access it, I just think it looks unprofessional.
-
I was looking at custom views right now. I would need to build a new environment for them wouldn't I? Or can I granularly from the pre existing templates provides make one from their?
-
Also, how would I allow them only access to their reports? We have a few customers and all of their reports are together in a mess.
-
With the group that I have managed a created, can I add permissions to run reports?
-
I have already resolved it. It's pretty simple really, I just needed two groups: One for admins and one for non admins. I really want a customer portal. Something that allows users to see their environment (nothing else) and maybe let them run some reports, possibly look at past details. Something very simple that allows…

Ok, I found my problem. I was being rubbish and didn't setup the trigger conditions properly. I suck.
-
After rebuilding it, it isn't much better. It's still the same. It still comes back with no value. Only the text that I used.

We are using Sam 6.6.1 and this is what I want to port onto my script. <tr style='height:22.5pt'> <td style='padding:0in 0in 0in 7.5pt;height:22.5pt; width:175px'> <p style='margin:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt'> <span style='font-size:12pt;color:#39393C;'>Percent Space Used of <o:p></o:p></span> </p> </td> <td…

So I know how to do it, I am seeking advice on what order people would take. BTW I might sound like I am being ungrateful, but I am still fuming at the last minute change from a new environment, to keeping our existing environment. So don't consider it like I am being ungrateful to people's ideas and suggestions. It is…

It is my frustration. My apologies. I unfortunately care too much for the environment that I work in and want to have an environment that works and doesn't send reports out every 5 - 10 minutes.. Our current environment is very old (about six years old) and during that time many people have added their own spin on things.…

Did you manage to get an update on this? I am having kind of the same issue. I can export to a .pdf file, but it won't export to excel. It is both an SQL command AND a custom table. Yet it won't send me an excel spreadsheet, or export to excel.

The services uses network logon, rather than local logon. But the account is an admin on Citrix network services.
-
Did that. Did that before.
-
I kinda get that. But the older version of NCM displayed them from year nothing. If they have changed it, why change it like that? Or, is there another way that I can view all dates for configs?

-.- sometimes I hate myself.

"I was going to do one domain at a time" That is what I am going to do. I don't want to do eight domains in one discovery. Eg - Domain 1 at 10pm - Domain 2 at 11pm - Domain 3 at 12am - ... - ... Until I have no more domains to scan. Even though we don't have that many nodes, we have about 20,000 users over eight domains.…

Even thinking about it, I still cant understand why it did it. Slowly building an auto discovery up (so removing some nodes, adding WMI credentials, adding more nodes, etc.) It still runs in about a minute. Now, the other thing: I was looking at how I can include to add nodes and do a scan for new volumes n one large, lazy…

I did not know that. I only have maybe 10 or 15 dynamic groups at the moment with plans to have no more than 50. My other question is then: How would you design it so that in the very far future, you would have to do very little work and just leave it there to do it's thing?

Is it right that the log is so small? 1kb???
-
Oddly, as I was doing some investigation - the following was come up: Here's the hunt emails, did a search for node down...Nothing for days This is what failed today, but no alert. I need to wait for the SMTP log files, but chatting to networks, we received some traffic for emails from the soalrwinds server, but not…

Weirdly, after making a custom chart, I have the same problem. It spiked at 97% I want to end the service and then restart and see it that resolves it. Urgh - why does s**t have to be so complex sometimes. I only want a b****y chart and it's gone insane and taking 14gb up.
-
As it seems it might be a lot of effort to get what I would like up and running, I have made a new folder and simply instructed that service desk check this folder every Friday morning. When it goes live, I'll change it to Monday morning. Saying that, it's easier if I actually keep it all to Monday and it might confuse…

Did that. No event was triggered. Here is the trigger event, here is the record of the event taking place. here are the event logs. It should have triggered, but it didn't appear in the even log or looking on the database.
