I am getting somewhere. That little tool is great. The scan found the following which is what I am looking for. 100 is the SSD’s and shows the % life remaining. The lines “Not Applicable” are SAS drives that do not have this measurement. .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.20.130.4.1.49.1 = STRING: "Not Applicable"…

I may be able to add to this. I am currently experiencing the same error message and that little details message shows the following. Here is my version info. 2017.1.2 SP2, NPM 12.1, SAM 6.2.4, VNQM 4.2.4, VIM 7.0.0, NetPath 1.1.0, QoE 2.3, SRM 6.3.0, IPAM 4.3.2, NCM 7.6, NTA 4.2.0

I've got NCM running config backups nightly on my polling engines. I'm having trouble with one engine where it cant resolve to my smtp for emailing of job status so I enabled logging. The problem is I do not have anything from last nights job. Is this all I need to enable or am missing a step?
-
Yeah we do. 2 NPM instances. 4 pollers on one, 2 or 3 on the other.
-
In regards to the link here(a thread I started). I believe it has always been this way.
-
I know all too well what upgrading does and how it works. I am just asking about this mib swap mentioned in the first post.
-
Got this latest file. I'm going to guess this has to be done on main engine and all polling engines? What about service restarts? I can't imagine these would take effect w/o restarting services.
-
I'm familiar with that process but would like to get the latest and greatest before I go down that path.

I think when I created all of the alert actions for ServiceNow they all defaulted to Solved(Permanently) like you mentioned. I am working on getting access to look at those codes in my SN instance but I bet this is where my problem is. Thanks for getting back quickly.
-
Do these closing states in the picture below correlate with the closing states above that are mentioned as being 7, 8? The picture below was taken from the service now alert trigger action.
-
Just enabled his alert in 11.5 as well. If the WLC goes down you get a down alert for it along with one for each thin AP. I see that you can alert on "Wireless Controller" in the trigger conditions but I do not see where you can say status='UP' which is what I want to incorporate into my thin AP alert but from what I am…

The problem with the NAS Volume orion object is that it doesn't have a working timestamp field. So it appears at least in my version that I am not able to pull this sort of report either that will show me historical data over lets say the last year. I've tried using the timestamp from the Storage Array orion object named…

I think for this to function you have to be polling the dashboard and not the device individually. Once polling the dashboard I'm betting that the OID's he has built in to this download will resolve properly.

What is the best way to get the current number of "components" a polling engine is monitoring? I'm currently evaluating whether or not I need an additional polling engine and I haven't found a good way to report on this data. Right now I have a polling engine reporting 89% SAM polling. From the Polling Engines tab I don't…

Digging up an old thread because I'm now looking for a way to monitor this thing myself. Question for you - Where did you configure SNMP in CMC to get this thing added to SolarWinds? At the CMC level I'm only able to setup SNMP trap/syslog or email alerts. Did you just setup SNMP traps?
-
Having the same issue here. Problem only occurs when trying to import large quantities. Selecting 10-20 nodes works fine.

Anyone using COMTEK? Would love to hear some feedback.

Recently disabled Hyper Threading on my Orion FE. Currently running 11.5.2 and had been experiencing inconsistent CPU spikes. You can clearly see the improvements.

I have a similar situation here with SNMP on port 8001. Our Broadworks server is actually in Solarwinds twice. Once on port 8001 and another instance on the default port 161. Listing resources on port 161 finds everything, 8001 finds nothing. I'm not a Broadsoft guy but the way it was explained to me was it was setup that…

This is how they apparently do it but I am having issues with the OID they are referencing that carries this data on SNMP polled nodes. That particular OID is missing a bunch of applications when spot checking a handful of servers I have in monitoring. I opened a case today.…

I'm not by any means an Exchange Admin but I'm just curious why the alerting property you want is in something named Display Copy State instead of right there in the Database Status screenshot from malg? The wording just seems off to me.
-
I recently made a change to my Orion front end that has helped the CPU oddities significantly. Take a look at the graph below to see the improvements. I disabled Hyper Threading.

If its not one thing its another. I'm running 11.5 HF4 currently and have daily memory leaks occurring(Solarwinds Information Service V3). Support wants me to upgrade to 11.5.2 so I thought it would be good to read about what others are reporting before I jump in to a new set of potential issues. Hope you get it resolved!

Have you noticed any storage system performance issues since enabling statistics logging? See article. https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-24564

Sorry for hijacking this thread but I have a question related to the "unknown" status as well. What EventType ID is assigned to applications that go into an "unknown" state. It should be in the 500 range I believe but when I look at the table dbo.eventtypes I do not see anything in the 500 range for SAM Unknown. I'm…

With regards to your PSC's are you just polling them via SNMP or passing creds for VMWare? Do you know what level permission is needed to pass creds for VMWare or if it provides any additional information?

I have looked in the following location(C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\NCM\Logging)for a log of my job and I do not have anything there referencing such a job. All I have are two text files named “General” and “Scheduler”. SMTP is working as designed because I get separate emails about the completion of my job…

What was the outcome of this? I have this error occurring with the following modules. * Real Time Process Explorer * Service Control Manager * Manually Assigning existing known working SAM Templates to servers and testing credentials. Another issue is that SAM discovery does not work at all for me. I have a case opened on…

I am just discovering this exact issue as well and will be running a website repair on another issue I am having here shortly. Did it solve the problem for you?

I absolutely despise the some of the solutions provided. Your fix is "Do a complete reinstall" of the program. That is llike saying reinstall windows for a printer issue. I'm in the same boat here guys. I have hundreds of subnets queued up and most of them haven't scanned since 10/25/2015.
