aLTeReGo​ AFAIK only some of commands needed to do monitoring need root access and monitoring should never run from root account and don't need it. sudo mentioned by chad.every​ is good way to allow monitoring to read more than regular user can, but I would use something more restrictive than ALL ;-)

If You still have this problem please first ensure that You closed session of user You used to run NotePager on the server -- it may be source of problem (instance of NotePager run by user accessing the modem and blocking another instance invoked by SolarWinds from access the modem). Thank You, Petr.Vilem​, for the explanation. About the source of the problem I have learned in the Support Case that there is a bug to be fixed in SAM 6.5, so they provided me with an SQL query to fix values on database as a workaround.

Another case fixed by upgrade to 6.2.1 and remove and fresh define of an alert: Re: Alerting bug with ${N=SwisEntity;M=ApplicationAlert.ComponentsWithStatusFormatted} ? Still in doubt as my alerts were defined on 6.2.4...
