I was not looking for the information - I was hoping I could help the user. We use NAT/VNQM (IPSLA) and Netpath. Thanks for asking - But I am good to go for this.

Who is the vendor of the switch? IF Cisco check the inventory reports Also for this type of thing UDT would have this information
-
Nice write-up. Thank you for the time BUT You knew one was coming I wish that this were TRUE, NCM identifies Cisco devices approaching the end of life Device Lifecycle ManagementDoes not report native device end of life.NCM identifies Cisco devices approaching the end of life and notifies admin, so admins can manage the…

Were you ever able to get this information?
-
I know that feeling - Well this give you ammo for the next round of camera upgrades - "they must support snmpv3"
-
Best answer - If they support SNMP then you are rocking. If Not - You could treat them as an "external" device and use ping/icmp only, you at least get up down. But your best would be if the devices support SNMP.. You could also get the MAC of the device and find where it is connected into your environment (switch and…

Thank You for this!!! Good to have My Orion installation was installed almost ten years age and this is something has bothered me for ages - Thank You again.
-
WOW - This sort of thing now makes me wonder what else has been moved?!? Thank You for sharing this. In my notes now!!

Check the Content Exchange / Network Performance Monitor / Universal Device Poller Than Search for Firepower. There are several sets. Setup UnDP and assign to your devices.

This may be just me but I have found that some systems/devices use a 32bit counter and while others are 64bit. This is OID, I think is used by Orion for the system up time - 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3.0 sysUpTime.0 TimeTicks When the 32 but rolls over this cause a problem. So take this with a grain of salt. Also depending the…

We were having issues, but if I could learn to read it would have been better - The biggy was the key name had to be all lower case. Once that was corrected I was then able to create the pools as needed.
-
Yes - I would like to participate
-
Did you ever get this working? I am having the same issue
-
I do not know this platform but i have found many times to download a config file you need to be at the ENABLE command prompt. and some platforms do not allow a read only account that type of access. Just a thought!

Hmmm good question - this is one of those things that was setup many years ago now. We run a weekly job to "inventory" Our Cisco environment and F5. This is done creating a job via the NCM Jobs. My Dashboards >Network Configuration >Jobs From there create a new job with a Job Type of "Update Inventory" then add your…
-
Just a quick question - Do you have NCM (Network Configuration Manager)? If so, this might have to with the inventory function of NCM.
-
How about suspending the new stuff and fixing the existing "features" ?
-
Did you ever get this sorted? I have found that the alert time used is how your alert is "written" - Direct pull from database (SWQL/SQL Query) VS Alert Creation via the "Alert Manager" SWQL/SQL - this will use the "raw" database information and timestamp - The database uses UCT as it timestamp. Which is then modified with…

Thanks!
-
It worked Thank You - This will help So much going forward with "retirement" of device from the environment! Thanks You Again
-
Thanks I try now
-
Yes that is correct but I would like to put this filter on the current report see above I do not want the "Retired" nodes to be listed in the report
-
Thanks but did not work Orion.Nodes does not contain Custom Properties They are located in this table -Orion.NodesCustomProperties.AuditCategoryI will keep diggingAgain thank you for the effort.
-
Cool - I'll have someone look into that - Thanks!!
-
Thanks - I'll try this
-
Sorry -
-
Thank You that is just what I needed
-
Thanks I give it a try
-
understand - I too would like to see a "does not contain" option
-
I have found that unmanage and mute only apply to the NPM side of the world. If want to stop a device from being backed up, I can remove it from NCM (unmanage in NCM) There is a bit of a "got ya". If a node is not in NCM you will be unable to run scripts to the node. I have found the easy way to not back up a node is to…
