Any updates?

ok, so I ran this in Database Manager: SELECT NIP.Interface.Name AS Interface, NIP.IPAddress AS [IP Address], NIP.Interface.Alias AS [Description]
FROM Orion.NodeIPAddresses NIP
WHERE (NIP.NodeID = 11152) AND (NIP.Interface.Status = 1)
ORDER BY NIP.Interface.Name I get this: Msg 208, Level 16, State 1, Line…

I have SqlDbx. When I run the query, I get a error in line 3: Incorect syntax near '{'. (SQLSTATE=42000)(102)(Severity=15) Tho, I think that has to do with the ${NodeID} not being defined, but I am not 100% sure. And yes, I did place this on the node details page.

I like this idea, but it seems not to pull any IP addresses for me.

when this happens to us, it seem like what we have to is to go in and reassign the credentials back to that component.

have you considered created dependencies? Make that one node (a router ?) a parent. If you do nothing else, that would drastically cut down the number of alerts. I do not know what would happen if you mark that node as being in maintenance, though.

You only want to add one IP per device. If you want to see all the IP addresses on a device, add the "All IP Addresses" resource. In NPM, you really are only monitoring the device and the interfaces; you only need one IP per device for that. For routers and switches: best bet is to use the device's IP and not a IP assigned…

If not automatically, at least a button that states "Manage This Node".

Have you looked into the Automatic Dependency feature? https://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/262609

This is probably way late, but you need to put quotation marks around the url. IE:

adatole, Is there a way to use the custom values under the Alerting Thresholds section on the nodes?
-
It seems to be working for me; however, I have never gotten a top 10 process list. I have verified that I do have the template on the node I am testing. I have attached the templates.

Yes there is. Create a report and use this: 1. Resource: Custom Table(Reporting) 2. Select objects you are going to report on... The 2880 is 2 days. for the last 2 months, use 86400 For the table, you could use soemthing like this: You can change this on what you want shown.

You should go and vote on this feature request: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3058

We use both, but not together. Our Monitoring group (me) uses !NPM, among others, and our Networking group is using !NCM. The funny/sad thing is that we only found this out during a database migration and found out that we had to SolarWinds dbases.

Just an update, it seems to be working on its own now. Also, since this post, I am receiving notices for nodes that I do not have. I believe someone (at solarwinds) has taken my alerts to look at, and failed to change the server (because I forgot to edit them out.) I will post the email header. Received: from…
