aLTeReGo We can't figure out why yet, but we are having several various Windows server's (no consistency) stop responding. No blue screen, cannot RDP, but system responds to ping tests - suggesting it's more in the application level of the network stack. Obviously I can't use any WMI or PowerShell scripting. Using the…

Oh, and also:

I have now!!!

I am unaware of any possible setting. The default sizes for non-scalable objects are fixed (objects like small LED, large LED, etc...). But the default for scalable objects is irrelevant, since they are scalable. Once you select the objects that you want to change, anything you do in the menu bar applies to those selected…

Unfortunately, we have several HP EVA storage arrays which are not supported in SRM and probably never will be. Therefore, I'll have to setup an additional SRM-Profiler server. I'm thinking that I could make the new physical server "the database server". I'll make sure it has enough physical resources. What's the downside…

Update? Thanks!

Thanks Danielle! I just tried ordering a superhero mug and the same issue occurred. I never received a confirmation email.
-
Yeah, me too.

Ok, awesome - me too. I recently ran the Orion Platform Hotfix which triggered a re-run of the configuration wizard. This is what I'm thinking may have lead to the present issue, but who knows. I can initiate a discovery, and even though an error message pops up afterwards it reads complete. However, I cannot import any…

Thanks! This worked for me too.

Nevermind, I fixed it. There's another column in the dbo.NetFlowIpGroups Table: The RangeID column. I was referencing this article as a means to migrate the groups into a new SQL server database. Once I retrieved and entered these values (after setting the identity insert for that table to ON), everything is now populated…

Thank you for the response! I agree and think utilizing a SQL query would probably be the best approach. Not being a SQL pro, I was hoping someone could post a specific query or script that would perform this action.

I understood the question to be regarding the graphics (icons), not the background.

That's the ultimate question. The downsides to assigning them their own VM in my opinion would be; having to create the additional VMs, taking up more IPs than may be necessary, using a larger footprint, more systems that I'd have to manage for SolarWinds and Windows updates, etc... If I can get away with consolidating one…

Thank you! Even though it told me I needed to perform this action in the error message, it's nice to see the exact query needed to run (not a DBA).

+1 I'm preparing a new deployment will be ready to setup all SolarWinds products in January 2016. Is it likely the new version will be available by then?
-
OK, well no response from SolarWinds provides enough of an answer for me. Looks like we won't be looking into Mobile Admin. It's pretty clear there is no longer support for this product.

Welcome the club!! Your jacket is in the mail...

Various different sizes depending on the native resolution of projector in which these views/screen are being presented. That's my biggest complaint with SolarWinds; that all the views are limited by a static size limitation. It would be super awesome if the views in SolarWinds would scale up or down depending on the…

I was able to resolve my issue by performing the following actions: * Initiated a Database Maintenance * Logged on to the primary poller server * Launched the web console through the local web browser via IP address (i.e; http://192.168.1.23) * Connected using the local database admin account (admin) * Performed the import…

The fix for me in the end was to Telnet into each SNMP-SSL card and hit option 8 - restart SNMP-SSL services. After restarting the affected devices everything worked as expected. They are different models (750 and 3000) with different firmware (2.2 and 2.7 I think). In the end none of that mattered, as they just needed to…

I added a "HTTP Monitor" application monitor to server X. Server X just so happens to be my primary poller, but you could use any server you want. You can specify a URL, what text you want searched for, and how often it's checked. I then setup an alert to fire when the application name is equal to HTTP and it's…

It's come back for me as well (and it will, it's expected as this point). I just have to perform the workaround again and I'm able to import my discovery results.
-
If this issue pops up again perform the following: 1.) Open the Orion Service Manager and shutdown everything. 2.) Delete all files from the C:\windows\temp directory. 3.) Start everything in Orion Service Manager

This post, and its link to the success center was super helpful for me. My HA pool was showing partially operational, with a critical status on 1 of the 2 pool members. There was no logs or event messages to indicate why the status was critical. After running active diagnostics and seeing several messaging related possible…

Since you said all 218 are managed, I'll go another route with the troubleshooting. 1. The Virtual Center Details "widget" seems to be simply pulling information from vCenter. I don't think that 218 number is coming anywhere from Orion. 2. Do you have any filtering or account limitations applied? I've noticed that even…

Changing the Status and Response Time setting can be changed in bulk rather easily. Here are the steps: Status & Response Time - Database Query Under All Settings click on "Mange Pollers": Then group by "Technology" Next, Change the poller assignment by checking the ICMP box and clicking +Assign: *Note - You do not need to…

I have a similar issue and here's what I did leveraging custom properties: I created a new custom property for each team and labeled it TeamX_Node (yes/no). I then decide which nodes I want to be visible to that team and set the value to yes. When I add TeamX active directory group for access to SolarWinds, I apply an…

Were you being serious when you say, "... A few weeks later the IP Group update will be finished." ? I have performed the necessary steps and verified the data is stored in the database correctly. However, I do no see any of these groups listed in the web console.

I've been using the volume status = unknown in order to determine WMI issues per aLTeReGo's advice. It performs its function, however I get a separate alert for each volume on a node. For some servers there are 6-8 different volumes resulting in 6-8 separate emails being generated. Any other ideas??
