I've made some progress on this and updated the BATCH file to accept two arguments. The first argument is the drive letter of the system and the second argument is the device name to run the script against. ::<#::::************************************************************:::: Author: <R Primmer>:: Script Name:…

Sav, I'll give this a try. Can you post a link to your SQL solution in the Content sharing zone and are you aware what expression language Cirrus uses? Thanks! Robert

Yea, I've got to agree with JP. Database integration between NPM and NCM is very high on my priority list too. I like the switch port mapper enhancements but I would love to get rid of the split custom properties and SNMP loaded for nodes.

ioan_bucsa Thanks for the feedback. We are using Windows Authentication. I took a look at my F5 profiles today and noticed that a cookie based persistence profile was still assigned to our pool and the source-IP persistence profile timeout appears to only be set for 180 seconds. I've reached out to my F5 team on these…

Spiky, I'm having the same issue as you. I've opened ticket #129472 and made another post here on Thwack. Did you get this fixed? If so, what was the solution? Robert

Francois, Please add my vote for this as well. Regards, Robert

Thanks for that insight Guacamole! Do you have any idea how to implement the custom sql for 2 & 3? I'm also wondering if it's possible to use a calculated baseline as a reference point for the reports. I don't think it's possible but would appreciate any additional insight.

Hey Brandon, Thanks for checking. Is there any reason I need to have the SysAdmin Role checked in a RW situation? As for the RO accounts, you are correct. They will only be used to query the database. Robert

I agree. We would like to see this functionality included in a future release too. We need the ability to identify what ports do not have port-security enabled on them. Robert

How do you set this resource up so that the display will be sorted by Department then by Device? Thanks

Just curious but how are folks handling the smart card authentication for Network Atlas? Are you just using local accounts? SolarWinds - Any updates on using CAC authentication to access Network Atlas? We are getting pressed to use CAC authentication on both our user and administrative accounts and I don't like the thought…

I was wondering if this would be an issue with Smart Card authentication enabled. Were you able to find a workaround or is it still an issue?
-
Brilliant! Thanks much. That's exactly what we needed.

Thanks for the info KMSigma! I apologize for not being more specific in my request. Is there anyway to identify the name of the map assigned to the map resources above? Your script above tells me what views contain map resources but it doesn't tell me the actual name of the map assigned to the resource. Is there anyway to…

This script is great and we are going to use it to backup our maps. I wished it worked on v10.7 as we are currently upgrading now to 11.5.3 and haven't fully completed it. It works great on v11.5.3 though. Has anyone tested it on v12.X? Also, does anyone know of a way to identify what view the maps are on? I was looking…

How do we mark all posts as read so next time we login well only see posts since the last time we logged in? Robert

dnerdahl, I wasn't able to get the VBS scripts running but I'm moving forward with a somewhat different implementation. I'm curious though how you handled updating the views so they respect your mute and environment and custom threshold values. Thanks!

I finally got around to testing this and am working with the Node Down alerting piece so far. When I imported your code into the Alert for Node Down and Validated the SQL I received an Error. It appears that the Alerting Engine doesn't like n_mute = 'no'. I changed it to n_mute = '0' and it validated. I was able to set…

Great Work dnerdahl! Can you include the vbs scripts or is it just a copy/paste operation into a text file and saving it as a .vbs?
-
This only shows a .jpg. The report file is not included.

Thanks for this. It's very helpful. I implemented it but I'm seeing an odd behavior when I click logout. The banner doesn't rise to the top. How could we correct it so it looks normal for folks logging in with Username and password?

Battlepaw, This has worked pretty good for me in the past. YMMV. On the Orion webpage, go into the Admin mode and perform the following steps 1. Create a separate account for them that their group can log into. 2. Develop a Top Level "WAN View" map (using MapMaker) that displays the remote sites they manage. 3. Click…

Amit - Looks good! Unfortunately, I'm getting an error message saying Function CharIndex not found. I'm using SWQL Studio version 2.2.54.0. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

Apparently Orion is sending it's own address in both the sender and agent fields and because of that SNMPc doesn't correate the trap to network device with the issue. Any ideas on how to fix this? If your forwarding messages to your other server, try the "Send New Syslog Message" option. We use the following in Message to…

+1 for this feature request. I completely agree with zhollett's detailed assessment.
-
Hey Rick, I presume you've already done this since the post is 4 years old. Just curious how you did it. Thanks! Robert
-
You didn't do anything wrong. I believe this is a bug in the software but here's what fixed it for me. I learned this after talking with support. Open Regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/SolarWinds.net/ConfigurationWizard/ConfiguredModules and create a string value named "1" (no quotes) with Value data of True.…

Yes, that was it. I just found it in the Admin manual shortly after my post. Thanks!

The best way to resolve this problem is to use a MIB Browser (I use the one in the Solarwinds Engineer's Toolset) to browse the device exporting the flow. Simply put in the device IP and Read SNMP community string and click Get Tree. Let it run for a while (30 seconds) then stop it. Click Find under the Edit menu and do a…
