You might want to take a look at Universal Disk Free Space Monitoring (One Template Will Handle All Logical Disks + Exceptions And Overrides) or Managing Volumes Space Thresholds Based On Percentage And Megabytes Values I particularly like Custom Volume Thresholds where you can use the system default across the entire…

I discovered that one of my Additional Web Servers was responding on 80, but its website was not properly configured. I stopped all of the Orion services on this AWS with the Service Manager & - after a looooong time - the F5 took it out of the pool & started to share the requests out properly. It goes to show that I need…

Hi Alex, Great post. Your detail is superb & has provoked a "how do I do something like that here" Many thanks.

One of my clients has expired evals on their production installation and although the eval products do not work anymore they have left their reports, alerts, tables and menus behind. They will deploy a test environment in the future, but it would certainly be very handy for them to simply clear all of this distraction and…

That's exactly what we did. The process itself is " Run the EXE, Next, Next, Finish" but then you have to go through the Config Wizard. The more modules you have the longer it will take. Our install was very smooth, but it did take a long time. There are SQL schema changes and the new v10 seems to be better at finding…

Hi Jon, If the interface is declared in Orion you can drag it onto a map and then use the straight line tool to join this to another interface. If you're missing one of the interfaces, you can even insert a blank element onto a map and then join it to this.

and also see Unexpected Error: An error occurred while generating map (map name).OrionMap This article addresses the issue where the Network Atlas Map is not displaying as a resource in Orion Summary or NPM Summary in the Orion Web Console. Hi, We use a very high level map of each location, documented with location info, such as how to get there, full address and post code, " park over the other side of the road in the shop carpark where we have an arrangement & tell them we're visiting Suzie" etc etc. Then the detail of each site is summarised into logical…

Mine's also still processing, but I think that when my golden ticket arrives I'll have to frame it, but not until after I've had a scratch - obviously

Is there any news of the inclusion of QLogic & Brocade fibre switches into the core product so that we can monitor, display and alert in exactly the same way as with a Cisco switch?

Apart from doing a complete rebuild, is there any official SW advice on how to recover this functionality? Hopefully, Robert

And I'm getting Unable to retrieve url: http://MyOrionServerName/Orion/Report.aspx?Report=Audit_Events_(Last_24_hours)&Printable=TRUE using HTML type. so I think that we've now covered all of the output types. Orion Platform 2014.1.0, SAM 6.0.2, IPAM 3.1, NCM 7.1.1, NPM 10.7, NTA 3.11.0, WPM 2.0.1, UDT 3.0.2, IVIM 1.9.0,…

My TC17 pack arrived, but my Golden Ticket was faulty. I put it back in the pack & took it out again, but it still showed me a pile of crosses. I thought of turning it over & then turning it back again, but was worried that it may fracture in the flexing. Then I searched Thwack for a KB document on it. Is there a proven…

Hi, I have a similar issue with a fan erroneously reporting as critical in a Cisco 2960. The fan is OK. I removed & re-added the health monitoring, polled and & re-discovered, but the error returns. Other identical 2960's report OK. The temperature is tracking well, no data is being collected for the power supply or the…

Just discovered exactly the same when selecting switches and then trying to test against specific interfaces. The Interface drop-down header shows the correct switch has been specified, but all interfaces are listed in the drop-down, without any idea of which switch they belong to which makes it impossible to test fire a…

That's one of the benefits of the EOC. The primary engines do NOT need to be at the same level because they are accessing different databases.
