At the moment it is configurable via DB change. Check out the ChartSettings table in json format (column ChartOptions). Configuration is per chart. Here is what is neded in ChartOptions: tooltip: { positioningEnabled: true }

No option to turn it off completely at the moment. We can certainly look to put the option in. At present it should not be obscuring any relevant chart data.

Perhaps it is time to have our support team dig in and get to the bottom of this. A support ticket can be opened here: Technical Support | DameWare

No HF available at the moment, but we are targeting this for future release.
-
Negative sir, the backend services on the AWS are only going to communicate with a singular Orion instance.

Upon digging on this, the right-click functionality w/o Toolset installed is deprecated after 10.4. This was done to prevent endless ActiveX/Script pop-ups for users without toolset, but toolset enabled. No plans at present to reintroduce it, but we can certainly track it as a feature request. We may come up with a better…

Having the support team dig in may be the best bet at the moment. This is definitely not expected behavior.

If you check out the 10.7 beta: NPM 10.7 Beta 1 Available you will find the ability to map arbitrary OIDs to native CPU / memory fields.

We poll the HWH data from CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB (ususally new devices). If this MIB is not supported we poll the CISCO-ENVMON-MIB (usually old(er)devices like the 4506). This can be changed in the config file: c:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\HardwareHealth\SolarWinds.HardwareHealth.Pollers.dll.config, change the…

Daniel, Yes, there does not seem to be much utility there. Potentially you could restore the orion DB backup over to the secondary DB and then report offline with crystal / jasper / etc if you were really looking for something to do with it. Just tell your boss it's already done, works great, and everything is green in…

The NPM Admin Guide may be the best place to start: Orion Network Performance Monitor Documentation Loop1 is a SolarWinds partner that offers formal training as well: SolarWinds Training Classes | Loop1 Systems, Inc.

Mitigation in this example, you would have received alert about failed core switch. We'll only be as good as topology information- so if coreswitch1 remains down for the next topology calculation interval (30 minutes) we would recalculate the new path on coreswitch2.

Typically performance constraints appear around SQL server IO- this would be one of the first suspects to review.
-
Not at the moment unfortunately.

Do you have Error / Discard resource (or charts) added to your interface view, or are you clicking on the chart view? On either, are you getting "0" listed? Do the interface stats via CLI support this lack of errors?
-
I stand corrected- after consulting with our QA folks, only CP names cannot contain reserved words. We tested having "Temporary" in comments field, but were unable to reproduce the issue. We'll try some alternate scenarios and adjust the KB wording to for clarity.

Is Windows Authentication enabled by any chance? Is that user account able to log into the console at all? May need to get support involved on this: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/

We generally tally the thwack points based on feedback given for RC / beta. We don't track downloads / installs per se, but who tells us what they like / don't like / etc in a given release. Apologies if I overlooked your feedback or you had a UX session for RC that I missed. Just let me know and we'll sort it straight…

Nothing publicly disclosed yet, but very minor issues mostly related to vestigial ActiveX controls that needed to be removed. Certainly not urgent- but when we hear about a security issue, no matter how minor, we want to address it ASAP.

For troubleshooting- try Syslog viewer\File\Settings - uncheck "Remove Message Type from Syslog Message" . This will also affect every other syslog message, so we don't recommend it to leave this on for long. You would then probably see this message: usl77wc98 <usl77wc98 10.140.26.82> fpcli: USER:test.pacman.local\pacman…

We can't guarantee it will survive an upgrade but: /Orion/Admin/default.aspx This section: <asp:Content runat="server" ContentPlaceHolderID="adminHeadPlaceholder"> <style type="text/css"> #container { background: transparent; background-image:none;} #adminContent p { border: none; width: auto; padding: 0; font-size: 12px;}…

This is actually by design. If you wish to change the interval to the maximum of 90 days- please open AlertingEngine.exe.config and change this line <add key="AutoClearAlertIntervalInMinutes" value="129599" /> Then restart alert engine service.

We just retested with 10.7 and 11 and the links are functional in my test environment. Would you perhaps be able to send me the links we are trying to access?

If you were looking to upgrade immediately, 11.5.2 RC has a superset of bug fixes / enhancements compared to 11.5.1. RCs are fully supported in production.

We do not have RN's published yet, but we'll have them in the near future.

What version are you presently running? We fixed a very similar issue in 10.5.

Surely, the setting to disable is under Settings->Web Console settings In case you already have Lat/Long in Custom Properties and would like to import them into world map you can 1) Export lat/long Custom properties to file 2) Import them into the World Map lat/long properties (marked as Latitude(World Map) and…

Is it all possible to disable the firewall client completely to help isolate the issue?

Alert Sharing allows for alerts to be subscribed to by external applications. Presently Alert Central and Web Help Desk utilize this functionality.

Jeff, Apologies if there is a communication disconnect sir, but we must certainly take customer feedback on thwack very seriously. In regards to the topology support case, I'm not sure we've exhausted all avenues of investigation, and will ask our dev team to look into it. We are indeed constantly improving our polling…
