Once any node is unmanaged its HWH objects are keeping the last successful status received from a real polling. So if those HWH had the *Undefined* status before un-managing then they just keep the same status after. More than likely, these HWH monitors were *Undefined* before un-managing of the root node.

If you are going through the excercise of migrating the system, it would probably be advisable to upgrade to the latest version (10.6) as well. This guide should give you what you need: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/orion/docs/OrionServerMigration.pdf SNPP is a simple messaging protocol much like SMTP. If you…

If you could kindly attach a SNMP walk (SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: SolarWinds SNMP Walk: A new tool for collecting SNMP MIB walks) we can take a look. Regards, Rob

Makes perfect sense. Certainly a known feature request we are considering for future release.

5.5 is officially supported as of NPM 10.6- not that we have heard of any issues with 10.5. If we're having trouble connecting, an upgrade to 10.6 may be order.

Have you checked out the new World Map resource in 10.6? http://thwack.solarwinds.com/community/solarwinds-community/product-blog/blog/2013/08/26/introducing-the-new-worldwide-map-resource You can set the initial zoom to NZ if you like.

Have you looked at the inventory information available in SAM 6.0? All this information (and more- including warranty info) is available natively. Yes, it's awesome. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/208031#208031

Can you perhaps post what you have presently?
-
By default, we only require 7 days of data for calculation. Calculation runs at DB maintenance interval. If DBM is running but we're not seeing data, a Support Ticket may be the best course of action.

Independent HW sensor thresholds are now available in NPM 11.5, presently in RC.
-
Not at present. Are you having issue with the performance of the web console, or is there functionality lacking?
-
You're looking to have additional web servers display data from 2 separate Orion instances?

You could likely create custom monitor in SAM similar to: Re: Disk Fragmentation

Just so we're on the same page, would you perhaps be able to post a screenshot of what you're seeing?
-
Any idea what you're looking at in terms of syslog/trap volume?
-
Apologies for asking the obvious, but is there more than one action listed for that schedule?
-
If you're using 10.7, is the SNMP status poller applied / and are those nodes responding to SNMP? (Check "Manage Pollers" under settings or "List Resources" on the individual nodes)

Hi Tim- It tracks whether the first responder to a ticket was able to resolve it without escalation within a target time period. A ticket will be in one of three states: * Hit target: the ticket was never reassigned, its current status is one that has been designated as resolved, and the ticket was open less than the…

Manual connections (lines) can indeed be drawn. More info can be found on page 18 of the admin guide: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/orion/docs/OrionNetworkAtlasAdminGuide.pdf

NTM is indeed a separate product that fulfills a slightly different use case. NTM is more geared towards map manipulation for documentation purposes. NTM can export finished maps into NA however, if you already have NTM maps.
-
Is the issue isolated to a single workstation? Perhaps we can flush the cookies on that system? Otherwise, a support ticket may be in order.

Hi Niles, Apologies for the difficulty you are experiencing. Perhaps if you could provide some further detail on the alert you are trying to configure, we can work through it. Out-of-the-box we do provide default group alerts: We certainly try to make the product as easy to setup and configure as possible- and for that…

Most certainly. Make sure to check out the migration guide for migration best practices: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionServerMigration.pdf

UnDNP CPU data won't report with your existing "native" CPU data. This is something we are aware of and would consider implementing for the future. Variables for UnDP are listed in the table below: ${DateTime} Date/Time ${Description} Assigned description of a Universal Device Poller ${Enabled} Enabled status of a…

Tony, Sounds like we need to have our support team dig in on this one: SolarWinds Customer Support - We're Here to Help

Have we confirmed the alert itself isn't firing, or that perhaps there is an issue with the trigger action instead? It never hurt to remove the CP string comparison (Contactname contains servers) to simplify the alert for testing purposes as well.

Potentially a quick script could be fired from the trap alert to invoke PageGate: PageGate Version 6 Documentation - Command line reference We do have plans of migrating alerting to the web and homogenizing the functionality:What are we working on after NPM 10.6
