UnDP threshold breech does not affect node status directly, but can be visualized in other ways. IIRC those stats are natively exposed by SNMP. Do you have SNMP Informant - Downloads installed on the 2003 boxes or maybe using WMI instead?

This is actually the use case that our User Device Tracker (UDT) module was designed to support: http://www.solarwinds.com/user-device-tracker.aspx Without sounding too sales-y: It also supports WAPs / whitelist / blacklist, and will map Active Directory users and hosts to switchports. If you upgrade to NPM >10.7, you can create "native" CPU / Memory poller under Settings->Manage Pollers

Quick way would be to report on the relative time period of the past 10 hours, and schedule to execute at 5pm. This would get you a daily availability based on business hours.

For this (and future configuration) it may be easier to create a new Custom Property (ex: "Equipment Type.") Values can be set in bulk using your existing groups, and then used elsewhere (including Alert Manager.)
