Apologies- perhaps you could post a screenshot of what you are seeing there?
-
In 10.7 or later if using ConnectNow to connect your edge devices, the link color can change based on utilization and status.
-
Andy, This is still a known feature request that we reference in our What We're Working on post for 10.7: What are we working on after NPM 10.6 Working on it.
-
This is actually a known issue we are looking at. Apologies for the inconvenience sir.
-
If you customize page and edit the NOC view settings, the rotation interval can be specified. Alternatively, you could change the global page refresh setting.
-
If you check out the beta for v12- we have automatic geolocation for worldmaps: NPM v12 Beta2 Now Available
-
Typically we would see MSMQ used if we have trouble communicating with the DB (or with high DB latency.) Support ticket may not be a bad idea: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/
-
There are a few ways to do this. Commonly you would use Custom Properties (page 345 in admin guide) and key off of that. Groups (page 356) is another choice. http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OrionAdministratorGuide.pdf
-
John, Would you perhaps be able to post a screenshot?
-
Would it be possible to get a screenshot? Have we tried an alternate browser?
-
What exactly was the alert for? Node Status / response time / etc?
-
Not at present- but certainly something we would be interested in implementing.
-
Have you tried the new web-based reporting in >10.6? The Dynamic Query builder can filter data, and Custom Table / Custom Chart resources are highly configurable.
-
All discovery logs stored here: C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Discovery Engine\ If the problem visible on Add Node.ListResources this log can be helpful: C:\Users\All Users\Application Data\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion\Core.BusinessLayer.log If you're not making headway, our support team would be happy to help.
-
What model WLC / APs are we using here?
-
For an advanced alert, edit the trigger condition and set "Do not trigger this action until..."
-
With dedicated flow storage in use, that quad Xeon box is in the right range to handle 4000 interfaces at stock polling intervals without issue. RAID1+0 is preferred, but owing to the number of spindles you have that may prove difficult to do and separate out spindles for OS / logs.
-
At the moment it would not be possible to create a custom signature for non-http applications. If you could perhaps email me a small PCAP (rob.hock{at}solarwinds.com) we can see about inclusion for the future.
-
On the "Import Preview" step you can bulk-select any items you do not wish to monitor and click "Ignore." The remainding items can then be slected and monitored.
-
The "Digest" email is something we are looking at for the future. You could hardcode the message body at present, but that can be a pain to manage at scale. There may be some fancy SQL we can look at as well.
-
Does not appear to be a known issue. Would it be possible to try a different browser?
-
If you were to use the link utilization functionality in NA, and we can determine topology, we will display the link down on next topology poll.
-
Tyler, A support ticket may be the best path forward here: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ We'll need to dig into what topology information we're gathering, and where.

TCP port monitor may be the best bet for this. (http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm#context=SolarWinds&file=OrionAPMPH…)
-
Jonny, Run C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarwindsDiagnostics.exe and save the diagnostics export. If you look in the zip file SolarwindsDiagnostics\LogFiles\ you should find the ammo you need. Barring that, feel free to open a support ticket and our support team can get to the bottom of it.
-
If you check out the 10.7 beta (http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/215411#215411) you will find a new "NOC Mode" which removes the header / footer. We also added support for 6 columns in a view. We will certainly look for further opportunities to squeeze more information in the available screen real estate.
-
Jon, Glad you like the new features. Your existing report writer reports should appear in the "Manage reports" list, however they are read-only. In regards to the % discards report, that could be dependant upon the amount of data being reported on. That is a particularly heavy report in terms of calculations. Did the chart…

I believe 9.0.1399 is the RTM (non SP1) version of 2005. Perhaps we could confirm / try to install SP4?
-
No hover-over functionality at present, however you can add links to node details:
