If you can't access the SOAP interface config (http://<IP>:8080/soap/config.asmx) then we have something else going on here besides programmatic access issues. A support ticket would likely be the best course of action. http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/

We are absolutely looking at cumulative HF in the future for other products. The process with SAM is an improvement, but we can certainly improve further.
-
With the release of 11.0, we would likely not have a SR for 10.7, as we typically roll previous fixes into the new major release.
-
When an asset assigned to an asset status type marked retired, it does not appear in the list of assets that appears when a client is submitting a ticket.

Use of AD login restrictions may be the best bet here: http://windowsitpro.com/security/setting-machine-logon-restrictions-multiple-users-27-aug-2008

Sure- check out page 73 in the SAM admin guide: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/apm/docs/SAMAdminGuide.pdf

Of course. (Assuming you also have SAM) it may be easiest to download an existing template: Microsoft Message Queuing (Performance) This KB will walk you through the process: http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/5552/How+to+Import%7B47%7DExport+Application+Template

Assuming we have upgraded to 10.5 already? Try changing the time-period and / or interval of the resources.
-
This has not yet been addressed- however if you check out the 10.7 beta, you will see a web-based report scheduler make an appearance there. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/215411#215411

We're putting some thought into how we might tackle this problem in the future. Would you perhaps be interested in spending 30 minutes with some of our UX folks to review some things?
-
Unfortunately there is a known issue with partial name matches in that component monitor- hence the mismatch. Until that is addressed, the best course of action would be delete the temp contents and disable the component.
-
A support ticket may be the quickest path forward on this: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/

Truly sounds like a FW issue. Is there a software firewall on the SolarWinds server? If so, it would be good to disable to test. Software FW may see telnet as trusted process, but not SolarWinds services.

Try changing you authentication type. Depending on domain security policy, it may not like cross-domain NTLM.

Assuming you were looking to synchronize two Active/Active instances of NPM(only) we have a sample DTS package available that would synch the relevant data on the backend: http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/5038/New+database+migration+tool+for+specific+periods+of+data+is+now+available This potentially could…

With 11.5, under Settings-> "Manage Hardware Sensors" you can force specific sensors UP, or change thresholds.
-
If you check out the v12 beta, the ability to individually (or in bulk) change thresholds / status appears: NPM 12.0 Beta1 Now Available
-
Unfortunately, no immediate ideas. We probably need to have support team dig in: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ticket/

There was an issue in RC1&2 with externally linked logos being broken on upgrade. Should not have occurred on RC3. Readding / linking the logo should fix it. If not, if you can send me the support ticket #, we can chase it down.

We call out to a MapQuest web service to perform the lookup. As long as MapQuest understands the format, we are good. "Paris" may resolve to either "Paris, TX" or "Paris, France" so we just need to be specific enough to avoid ambiguity.
-
Unfortunately with that many interfaces, performing an on-demand enumeration will take awhile- how long is dependant upon hardware. One thing that could be done to at least avoid the wait is to setup a scheduled discovery with auto-import. At least that way, you would not need to wait or perform any manipulation in the UI.
-
Are you polling those APs directly, or are they thin and you're looking to determine status via the status in WLC?
-
Pretty neat - what did you use for the 3D floorplan?
-
This is not present functionality in NotePager that I am aware of. If the device on the other end can take action based on the DTMF input (send trap / etc) then you would have a feedback loop to use.
-
We wouldn't expect that our calculations would be off for all Cisco devices, but rather there may be specific devices in your environment that are returning different metrics. Walks from a couple of them would be very helpful.
-
Is the interface itself being managed? IE: are you able to view statistic information for it? If not, let's manage it and try again.
-
Very strange. A support ticket would likely be the best course of action: SolarWinds Customer Support - We're Here to Help If you haven't purchased yet and are still evaluating, let me know and we can line someone up to help.

Indeed. You would have to use that key to activate the version that was current when it was under maintenance. Otherwise you would have to put the product on active maintenance to gain access to the new key.
