See if the following knowledge base article helps: How do I enable CLR Integration for SQL Server 2005?

Depending on whether it's an SQL Server or Oracle database, couldn't you create a new monitor template with a corresponding Oracle or SQL Server User Experience Monitor?
-
Based on sedmo's post in this thread, a tick is a hundredth of a second so I'd guess you can multiply it by 6000 to convert it to minutes.

This feature has been requested for APM on more than one occasion. It seems to be on SolarWinds agenda but unfortunately, a date has not been made known with regard to its availability.

* Yes, the MIBs.cfg file is located for each application as follows: * Orion: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Common * Toolset v9: \Program Files\SolarWinds\Engineer's Toolset\ Just copy the MIBs update file to both locations in order to have both applications updated. * I can't say for certain but you should be able to. I'm…

My guess is that there are a couple of ways to do this: 1) Create a UnDP poller for each OID and of course alerting on the result of the UnDP poller accordingly. The toughest part is going to be finding the correct OID that would represent, say, hard drive failure. Unless it's obvious, this option might take a bit of time…

If I recall correctly, "has changed" only works/applies to the following three attributes of a node:* Last Boot * IOS Version * IOS Image Family I don't know if the number of attributes that support the "has changed" condition have increased in Orion 9.
-
If you mean to say that you would like to rotate through all of your maps in Orion, check out the following thread which makes reference to Firefox. Toggling multiple Orion views on a LCD

The closest field I found that could work as today's date is: Network Nodes > Polling Details > Last Sync However, it outputs in the following format: 8/21/2008 11:11:11 AM I'm not sure if "Last Sync" can even be compared to your custom property since its output is different.

This is pretty simple using the WMI Monitor. Simply create a template with the WMI Monitor as a component and using the following as the WQL Query Select CurrentConnections From Win32_PerfFormattedData_W3SVC_WebService I know the WMI Monitor is available in APM 3.0 but I'm not sure if it was available in APM 2.5, in case…

What does your trigger condition look like (or even better, can you post a screenshot of it)? I always thought that the alert would trigger even if a node/volume/interface was unmanaged depending on how you formed the trigger condition.
-
Yes, I believe this can be done through SNMP. However, to be able to do this, you'll need the Application Performance Monitor (APM) module which extends NPM to monitor processes.
-
Is your application monitor simply setup to test TCP Port 53 or is it more than that? BTW, in the future, you might get more responses regarding problems with APM if you post in
-
For some reason, I don't have the same report in your screenshot: Application and Component Availability - Last Month. However, if I create a new report based on APM: Historical - Component Availablity, I can add the fields for Component Name, Component Status, Component Availability, etc. Have you tried this yourself?
-
I'd like to be able to display the following : * Time of Alert * Alert name * Network Object (Alerts) or Caption (Message center) - (I'd like a hyperlink on this as per Alerts Menu output that goes to relevant node/volume/APMcomponent etc). A mouse over display would also be good but not essential (it would be nice to have…
-
Have you attempted to create an alert for this already? If so, can you post the trigger condition you have so far?
-
I'm a little vague on what you're asking here but hopefully, one of the following options work for you. * Set Account Limitations to the specific servers you want to restrict on this account. * Use the Report from Orion Report Writer resource to display your specific report on APM or any other page of your choice. Maybe…

Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of this? I'm using the Universal Device Poller Status resource on the node details page and it's displaying this information in two columns like you wanted (actually, three columns with the third column being the last polling time).
-
You should be able to modify/copy the existing SQL Server template you're using to add the additional TCP monitors that you have configured.
-
Unless these UnDP are table values, doesn't the Universal Device Poller Status resource provide this function?
-
I imagine you would have received more or quicker feedback had you created this thread in the Network Performance Monitor forum. With that said, it sounds like you might be interested in something like a heartbeat as discussed some older threads: Need to Monitor our Solarwinds Monitoring System Daily "check in" Hearbeat…
-
Just curious, where are you seeing this hardware field? Is this field only present with Virtual Servers or is this a completely new field in 9.1?
-
Further down in that http monitor you've configured, you should see a field for Search String. Simply input the word or phrase it should search on and configure it to fail/not fail if the search string is found. Pretty simple actually.
-
1) I believe you want to know whether we alert on application monitors or application components? I usually create the trigger conditions based on application monitors. However, I'll usually define my alerts of type APM: Component so that I can include the name, status and status/error description in the alert message that…
-
Yes, the resource is called Applications With Problems. Once you add it, edit the resource and you will be presented with a list of application status to display, one of which is Critical.
-
Would an alert like the following work?
-
Isn't it just one service that needs to be monitored for Spotlight? Once you've setup a template to monitor that single service and can also apply the SQL Server template to the node and you should be set.
-
I apologize for my confusion but it sounds like the alert is working properly (i.e. alert when their is high cpu usage which in this case is well over 100%). The question now is whether the cpu usage is being reported to and interpreted correctly by APM. Is it only occuring on this one box? If not, what's common between…
-
So you're saying that you would add all of the running processes on a server to an application monitor? Also, doesn't the Processes and Services resource already list the name of the process and each of their corresponding CPU utilization?
-
Strangely enough, most of what you're asking for is already "part of APM". Whether you agree that it was implemented in APM is another matter but the capability certainly exists today.
