  • It will be fixed in the next release
  • I agree completely, this should be a single field to change along with the address that the alert is sent from as well.
  • I got it now (needed to refresh my memory in the guide), still having to remember that dummy password for the pass through and for EOC to allow access I don't like. I would really like to see actual AD authentication with both, since setting up accounts on both is very time consuming.
  • I have upgraded to 10.1.1 and applied both hot fixes and my server constantly reports the following for database sync Last Database Sync Now It never changes, is this correct or did something change in the hot fix where this now does not change?
  • I know about how to change the nodes to SNMP ver. 1 my question is why does it automatically default to SNMP ver. 2? and how can I choose to have my nodes defualt to SNMP ver. 1 automatically instaed of going back after the node is added and change it to SNMP ver. 1
  • Ok if they are both using AD that is great, but I do not have access to my users passwords when setting up their accounts in both NPM or EOC. I was told by Solarwinds support when setting up an account in NPM that I needed to use "password" which is a placeholder for the users actual password when setting up the account…
  • That is what I would prefer but since I do not know SQL I was looking for some help. You might take a look at the existing Availability reports. Perhaps you could modify one of them to get what you are looking for.
  • Kind of, I am looking for a report that does the above (example in thread) that only reports on Mon- Sat 6AM - 9 PM and does not report any outage outside that range. We have an SLA that is specific for those times and the report that I am using is in SQL script and since I am not a SQL guru or anything of the like I have…
  • I guess the sales rep I talked to before purchasing this made it sound like the EOC would take over for the Orion web interface for our company. We were under the impression that this was the case and that the interface would be simular to what we are used to and that users would be transparent from NPM to EOC with their…
  • True you can select more then one node but in settings you can specify snmp ver. 2 or 3 but not 1 I would like that to show the who for whomever can see this report but would like it restricted to administrators and not the engineers or web viewers.
  • This would be a huge benifit in creating alerts. I hae tried doing this as mentioned above but it failed to email any messages out, so having the tie into the advanced alerts would be a big plus.
  • Sure that works, Again thanks a lot for this. Thanks, Aaron Stovall Network Engineer
  • Not seeing the RC's or the new releases yet in my company portal. Did anything change from RC3 to the current release? wanting to know if I can just use the RC3 instead of waitng?
  • Thanks for the script Developement is still looking into this issue too with my ticket since they think this may have a bug in it. I was given this as a fix from one of the developers. psexec \\${IP} -user Name -psswd password iisreset.exe /RESTART
  • Ok Sorry, very frustrated but the last upgrade and this one have not gone as smoothe as planned.
  • That would be great. Other things that I have found so far, SNMP version 1 nowhere to globally specify this to change all nodes to use SNMP ver. 1 which is what we use not SNMP ver. 2. Inventory report 'Login Status" in the Login Status column it states Login OK can we see what username is being used to login?
  • What I am trying to get is a report that only shows downtime Monday - Sat. from 6:00AM to 9:00 PM and does not report downtime outside of those times per an SLA that we have. I had thought that this report would show this with some modifications. If I am barking up the wrong tree then that is where I need the help on…
  • Not sure about other Orgs. but we have users that are not part of our domain that are setup in Orion that have access to that server so AD connector for those users would not help. I was more or less wondering why EOC would not get the user infor from Orion user database? I am not a programmer but to me that would seem the…
  • Thanks, I will give that a shot on setting up the UnPD and see what happens
  • That works for me send me a request or give me a call I am available Thanks, Aaron Stovall Network Engineer
  • I am going through this pain now as well. New Exchange admin at work requesting I change everything and new SMTP server to boot so I need to make changes to all my alerts and I just now realize that this is not a 1 stop make a change and be done with it ..GRRRR. I see the SQL query above but I am too scared to try that.…
  • Same issue here after upgrade to 9.5. The Boss is not a happy camper because of this so I do have a support ticket 101114. After we make these changes and a patch comes out will it correct these changes?
  • I am also having the same issues and Solarwinds tech support sent me to this thread. Case 101114 There is a workaround that may work for you, there are a few procedures used in the Database Maintenance that are limited to 100 rows. If it has a large number of rows to delete it has to loop over and over again. This is what…
  • I will open a ticket on this then and see what support comes up with.
  • I fixed this by running through the configuration wizard for Orion. Why would this happen and how can this be fixed in the future so this does not happen? Nothing was done to the server over the weekend this just appeared to stop working. Same error on the local machine as any other machine connecting to the site.
  • What I have is this SELECT Caption,Location, VendorIcon,Ip_Address, DateDiff(hour,Nodes.LastBoot,GetDate()) AS HoursUp FROM Nodes WHERE Location = 'Data Center SEV1' ORDER BY 1 ASC Now from that I only need to have the data from the hours - greater then or equal to 0600 and less then or equal to 2100 hrs but not on a day…
  • Thanks that worked
  • Not sure what happened but it seems to be all working today. Weird but I will take and thanks for creating this by the way.
  • It would be nice to be able to pick and choose what reports a user has access too. For this report I would like it ony viewable by the admin or hide the password column from any user that is not an admin. It was a very usefull report when setting this up and to make sure that username and passwords are correct but I just…
  • This version of IOS 12.2-50.SE2 moving on up to SE3 tonight. Yeah I not happy with the way Energywise is working so far documentation is not very good for Cisco or Solarwinds on this and I would have hoped for a more robust interface from Solarwinds that would explain some of the choices a little better and Cisco needs to…
