Guess it paid to be running a few minutes late this morning. I just got on and it was already reset so I answered it with no issues first time.

"It makes no sense to discuss private matters in public venues." I agree completely. It's called "common sense" or "think before speaking".

I guess I should take up drinking coffee. Monday mornings are the worst for me and again with the videos that I can't watch at work. I still should have known since I took my granddaughter FISHING and not PHISHING this weekend.

Great article. I have seen this happen so many times over my career (since 1978). Sometimes getting the people (read managers) (nod to slackerman19 ) to move on to Stage Five is difficult at best.

I got that wrong. I know I hit the right answer but it still marked it incorrect. Can I get a reset please? I really want to win that bucket of French fries from A&W.

Looks like I got my points.

I agree with zhymmer that I don't really want the clock or the wallet so I got Monday's question wrong. I probably didn't need to since I have never won any prize but do learn a lot. As soon as I saw the "X" I knew I had rushed my answer. I really wanted the Week 1 prize of the chess set but I am running out of people that…

I see the "question" [edit: now]. So glad I didn't go with my first thought because that would have been wrong.

Unauthorized definition of vacation: An opportunity granted to workers to fall behind in their work load equivalent to a minimum of twice the amount of work they would have had to do if they had not taken the time off to begin with. The normal work continues to accumulate at a mysteriously higher rate than normal while…

Congratulations everyone. I just replace my Technics turntable that I had for many years (at least 30). it was a direct drive, not belt driven, and finally wore a grove in the platter so that I could not get it to maintain speed anymore. I now have a Scranton and am still undecided on it. I really miss my Technics.

Jfrazier Nice, you can never go wrong with bacon.

DanielleH there was a poll created a couple years ago for this:

After using dual 5.25 floppies I finally moved to the "new" 286 with a 20M MFM hard drive. Eventually upgraded the drive and used the 20M as a door stop for a long time.

Okay, based on the clue words of the previous weeks I was sure the last one was going to be "Radio" however todays letter proved me wrong.

And don't forget all the sexual assault, police brutality and racial stuff. Once in awhile you get news about something good happening.

After agonizing over todays question for 15+ minutes I finally got it wrong. Oh well. I think I know what I did wrong but without the actual correct answer I may never know.
-
I agree that the hint was not useful to me either because the first link was the dreaded 400 and the slides are not accessible at work. I was able to get the answer correct based on experience. We have compliance audits quarterly by our internal compliance/audit department and annually by the FDIC and other financial…

You put too much information in the answer. That is one of the issues with this type of question. You don't want to repeat the question as well as the answer. Just the answer would have been correct.

whitey004 and stevenastem This is a result of your "friend" answering correctly before the reset which basically switched the location of the two possible choices. The location of the selection made prior to the reset remains where it was making it look as though your friend selected one option when in fact they had…

Oh No! I had to scroll while counting and that caused me to get todays question incorrect. I knew it as soon as I clicked submit. And I really wanted the LEGO Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. Oh well, guess that ruined my getting the 3D Printer too but I still have a shot at the Raspberry Pi Starter Kit. Not really, I have been…

The old Football vs. Soccer issue yet again.

So do I but you can't buy a house, at least not newer, here anymore without one. I should have purchased some land that already had all the utilities nearby and built a house back then.

I agree. Those are the ones I usually end up getting incorrect. Also, I hate clicking links that open in the same window. I usually right click the "click here for a hint" link and tell it to open in a new tab.

Be careful. If you grow too much to fast you may find that your attractive to others. 25 years ago our bank started with one branch and I was the IT person. I had been doing IT work for two other banks and had a good working relationship with the President/CEO of this one so came to work here. We are now 11 branches and I…

Q10 question provides a little wording to make you think: "which role is must be installed"

Well I went back and re-read the question after getting the red X. I can see where it can be interpreted either way. I obviously took it to mean CAN it report on files that are Only shared externally. So I just refreshed and the question has been changed and the word "Only" seems to have been removed: Thank you…

Well I qualified but I am torn between last weeks camera systems and the overall prize of the Nintendo Switch. The backpack and monitor are also great prizes. Of course since I never win anything it is a moot point anyway.
