I'll give that a try. I'm assuming that I would need to install that same update on any downstream servers? When you did this did the servers show up with the correct names? Thanks for the quick reply. I will give this update a try.

So it finally worked after about 5-6 tries. One last question, do I need to run this on all of my downstream servers or will it replicate down as with the updates? Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the suggestions/advice. It did try to push out the patch automatically this time. This software seems to take a bit to get just right, but once you get all the clients set up properly it really seems to work nicely. So after checking the event log on one of the servers the sync isn't working on it's showing an error "The last catalog synchronization attempt was unsuccessful" Error code 10022. We did test and when we ran the wuauclt /detectnow the memory in task manager rose from about 700mb up to the 2gb limit. From that point doing anything on the machine is near impossible. We even tested with the services window open and ran the detect got the spike and then stopped the service and the memory went right back…
