So, if he puts 100 servers into UM would he really want his customers to get 100 emails? When I said it couldn't be done, I was thinking of a clean way, not creating an obvious spam machine. Obviously your method is possible, but seems like it would cause a PR problem for his monitoring team since he asked for a report and…

Dell OpenManage doesn't speak WMI.
-
Can you elaborate on how you incorporated memory and CPU?
-
Custom code is the only way most likely.
-
I've created Views Reports, like the Top 10 lists, but they are point in time. I still can't provide these kinds of historical reports without doing a tabular list of raw data, or creating hundreds of view charts for 1400 servers. For all the good SolarWinds does, there is just too many simple things we cannot do.
-
This doesn't help at all. Sorry mate. i don't need performance alerts on any of this. My DBAs laugh at the Appinsight red dashboards.
-
WMI typo. Definitely not Windows Media Player. My issue is I have a gazliion different instance names, so all of my NON standard instance names are RED when trying to come up with a SQL service monitoring process to apply. I can't use Appinsight for alerts, so then I try and create a template but I'd have to create one for…

It's pathetic. And I know it's going to burn me one day. SolarWinds needs a classfull discovery process and granular overrides like SCOM. Plain and simple. With 15 different clients I host I simply cannot provide granular alerts easily and effortlessly. The manual static updating of custom properties is simply atrocious…
-
Another perfect example of not being able to control/disable/manage Appinsight effectively with granular overrides. How can I view and select Application Monitors with 'unknown' status for mass deletion
-
A scheduled discovery doesn't automate anything with regards to dynamically discovering, adding, removing, and managing new or changed hardware and application objects. Everything is still manually maintained. If a colleague in Brussels adds 10 IIS, 2 Windows clusters, 5 SQL and 2 domain controller servers to a SolarWinds…
-
Yep, if you have the license for SCOM by all means keep it around. It does so much that Solar does not. And vice-versa.
-
Yep, there is no technical way to import a management pack from SCOM into Solar. If someone could do that, it would add a gazillion of awesome out of the box monitors that SCOM provides that would take years to reverse engineer and build into Solar.
-
SCOM works great for me and several companies. It does a zllion things better than Solar. I manage both, so I see the pains of each product. To the OP, you cannot do any of this - all of your beautiful out of the box monitors and rules would need to be reverse engineered and created manually in SolarWinds. It would take…

We have net-snmp monitoring working fine though. I'm already monitoring disks - they appear in LR just fine.
-
Sorry for being newb'd, I do need to open a support ticket?
-
Our CIO was asking Friday why these things cost so much, lol. Pretty insane pricing for such a captain obvious feature.

Thanks. These are just Windows accounts. It's odd how I have to create a new one in order to add creds. If I create a Windows account in the admin section they don't show up in component credentials combo box.
-
"The account should also have vCenter permissions is connecting to a vSenvironmentrnment." It woiuld seem to me that this account is just the appliance user/password independent of Vcenter creds. My VMan appliance has its own user/pass that we enter in the integration page, and it tests OK, just using the built in Admin…

Off topic, how can I copy your code without the numbering? Is there something I'm missing? Browser: IE 11 Thanks
-
Thank you Libor, I will implement a longer refresh and test.
-
Beautiful. So you did a custom table? Any tips would be appreciated sir.
-
Its not this easy, nor reliable for very large environments. Its a very kludgey process.
-
No dice. Same emails coming in from disabled alert. I wouldn't mind if the macros were working but it's making people nervous that we can't control or fix this.
-
Yes. But we still have to login occasionally to the web UI. It doesn't stick 24/7.
-
Did this product used to be called Cirrus? I was wondering why I see Cirrus throughout the logs. Slop.
-
Restart the polling service to get them back. It's what I have been doing for this headache.
-
Thanks. So you built a new box(s) and pointed to old DB? I’m doing in place. And support is giving me wildly conflicting upgrade plans since the PUA has the known bugs.

The only issue I have with Appinsight IIS is you cant create a Certificate expiration trigger off the IIS SSL component. If you can, please someone show us...

Vendor icon. Node name. Availability %. Q1 2017. Report writer runs instantly. Web based availability report barfs bad. Need the formatting of new. Old VS New - the immortal battle.
