ok, i think we are getting off track here. 1) We dont want to implement a cisco router to monitor each sites MPLS router (the carriers device). 2) we need solarwinds to do this just like Smokeping is doing. ping the devices IP at each site and monitor it every 30 seconds, or shorter if possible. I don’t know, but we are a HP and Fortinet shop and it’s not finding the L3 and even some L2 links. Something is not working in NTM is is it because the SNMP is only the known standard oid’s? Or does it actually look at the private side of the device manufacture OID?

is this possible? If so how? I also whish to see what nodes where discovered during the nightly network discovery as well as a few other people that dont have access to Solarwinds console, so we need to send the report to several managers. Please advise if this is possible and how. thanks
