edit the application, click on Advanced: set debugging to on and input a good number of files to keep for your environment. (running TEST on component will log after you save/save and continue). on the polling engine, go to: C:\programdata\solarwinds\Logs\APM\ApplicationLogs\appID<appId>

check out this post, very crafty workaround by !

its in the install folder:: %solarwinds%\orion\network atlas\maps\netobjects\scaleable\<your folder>\<your icons>

licensing is not a problem. you would just use license manager on existing to remove/un-license when ready to migrate. If that does not work, call customer service. I have never run IPAM separately, so I can't help with that piece.

I wouldn't bother running NCM on same system as DB. I saw this when I was playing with using NCM additional pollers. I decided to back out of it and it caused this type of behavior. the below may help. if you do anything with the DB, just remember to backup first. <to support> Originally, I installed the integration piece…

The report writer tool can not do temporary tables, variables, etc.. IF I remember correctly. Have your DBA create the query as a stored procedure and have report writer call that SP. EXEC RH_sp_FirewallFailoverStatus I definitely have a custom SQL report calling a StoredProcedure.

Jiri, I'm sending via email. let me know if you need something different. I've sent private and standard.

Thanks for posting your research!

I just caught this today as well. The view is wrong. go to admin -> manage views -> select interface details or any interface details page and edit that section. Change "select a chart" to min/max/avg packets in/out. That should do it.

I've got a template that will return 1,<primary system name> here you point it at the VIP

Haven't seen this. If you haven't already, I'd either run config wizard on additional PE, then if not fixed run a repair. - or open a case (or both).

we are seeing this as well and have a ticket open on it...#144286 it is a big problem because SW looks like its fine, the netperfmon process/service is chunking along normally, cpu/memory usage looks like normal operations, so there is no easy way to alert/respond to this without looking for stats and seeing none. I've…

I've done the same. I have a custom property field called HName which gives me the short names of my routers. You should be able to display this by using a macro for that field. attach a label to the object (router, node, etc) and change the text to be ${HName} in my case. hope that helps.

yes, you can filter based on criteria what gets imported (i.e. vendor, etc..) I use vendor='Cisco'.

I've found that unmanaging is still very slow (3-5 minutes before web site (node details) reflects. I haven't tested anything else yet. Thanks

you can add users from AD through the web page, though I have the integration pack. it asks you there the domain and valid credentials, then it will give you users/groups.
-
Agreed, that would be a very useful report!

I've always thought it meant the number of pollers you have per minute. i.e. 10 nodes with 9 interfaces each (100 poll objects) each being polled one time a min => 100 elements I could be wrong...SW?

only when the connectors are configured and started as I understand it. Also, the RAW logs will not be sent; the agent will parse the original message and chop/format it in the manner the connector specifies for indexing and storage. probably most of the message but not necessarily all of it. If the connector is not…

how did you determine it wasn't recording data? we have several apps for monitoring in house and I use a SQL stored procedure to query the engines table for last write to DB and polling completion. one of my other systems runs that procedure and records/graphs. it alerts me when issues. Also, I use this other app to trend…

NCM used different NodeID style or data type. In my efforts, I had to tie the IP addresses from NCM to NPM.

Is this where we are supposed to posting beta stuff or the ipam beta group...that area doesn't seem to get responses though?
-
use a SQL query component monitor which queries that table, returning maybe the number of times and timestamp of latest entry where timestamp in last 24hours or run component check every hour or 10 minutes and tweak your where clause

you have to ensure the naming conventions for the various states are correct, then you assign that graphic. the trick is to then use "tri-color" as "graphic style" under properties -> appearance

these report "jobs" are run by micrsoft scheduler, so if you just go to control panel -> scheduled tasks and find the appropriate job, you should be able to edit the schedule accordingly.

Interesting. I've seen this in my environment and manually re-typed the emails...assumed it was a copy/paste problem. If you have the time to hunt it down, go through both, collect diags and open a ticket.

I don't believe the capability exists yet, but they are looking into it... check out these threads to see if there is anything...searched for "correlation" This one looks like it may have a viable solution... ?PageIndex=1
