That may work for some organizations, but in education each student does not have a specific machine that they are assigned to. We need to be able to quickly identify which user was logged in and passing traffic to specific domains/hosts/etc.

I agree! This would also help us when switching between hot/cold environments. Technically the nodes are the same, but volume and interface indexes are different.

We can only hope that it makes the cut soon. Lord knows the community has done their job, the ball is in their court.
