The nodes in your group would need to have layer 2 connections. From my experience layer 3 connections are not working with Connect Now feature.

Im trying to determine the same thing, What is the actual code you place into the custom property string ? I added a hyperlink, example http://test.com but it will not open as its not "hyperlinked"

There are several out of the box alerts for components already created. Go to settings > manage alerts > search for component > make sure they are turned on and apply to your device. If you have view filtering or anything that would limit device visibility you would want to check that as well.

I am looking for the same thing. I need to track user to app launches but more importantly the number of times an app was launched on a server.

Ive had the opposite experience, we were having critical system failures while on 11.5. Once we got to NPM 12 things calmed down big time. I suspect you have configuration issue, I cant imagine the new version being anything but better than the old. 

I use it the same way.
