TO include US Navy Battleships, Carriers, and Submarines?

Awesomeness. Basic Binary Building Blocks.

Mmm...no points for correct answers.

OOhhh the pressure.

Ahh… the impending doom of IPv6. We (DoD) had to be IPv6 compliant over a decade ago, because IPv6 was coming. Well, I’m still waiting. Since the ARPANET was a DoD project, we retained roughly 25% of all IPv4 space. The DoD isn’t running out, yet. It will run out, just no yet. I currently love doing v4 packet analysis and…

Exactly. Big part of my daily job.

Fortunately, we haven't and won't have to make this jump. Classified networks will stay in house.

Good read. I agree that this three pronged approach is a good start. The common denominator is people, layer eight. The further up the OSI model you go, the greater the number of security holes are present. Securing layer one is easier than securing layer seven. People reside at layer eight, and this three pronged approach…

Agreed.

Yes. Ideas used by one are often improved on by others.

Love this logo. It is so spot on.

I guess we will wait and see how this pans out.

Always looking for another method of gathering network statistical data. What Juniper has delivered looks promising.

Currently, we are only using the logging abilities of NPM.

SolarWinds is by far the best I have used. It out performs even the expensive, clunky NMS.

Congrats phoneman7

The self driving car author sounds like a bit of a conspiracy theorist.

Firewall admin, deny by default.

Agreed. Remedy bytes.

TO bad that many of these "bad guys" are in countries we don't have law enforcement agreements with.

As a commuter cyclist, I am watching this closely. Automated driving could mean less distracted driving in the future.

Media exposure will ultimately drive these results.

Agreed. Making this an annual event would be a great idea.

I'm not sure we will ever replace our old school ticketing system. High management is resistant to change in this area.

Network security being near and dear to my heart, thinking of a cloud breech makes my head spin. So much data to secure, so many holes to plug, and so few resources assigned to the task.
-
Agree completely. When you can't touch it, you can't secure it. Maybe I'm just a control freak.

Having started in SATCOM and Line of sight comunications, I started using the o'scope in 82 and continued into the mid 90's. I am sure that if I needed to, I could pull that knowledge forward today.

Good read. Always running into CIS control issues as the network expands.

Absolutely, clean in house first.
