There will be no impact because of the different SWID just obviously they cannot use the NPM SLX on any other server. I would deactivate the NPM SL500 first then activate the SLX license.

You don't need the log for that you can see those entries under the alerts/activities tab and select "Message Center" and select show Audit events but if you want to see the log file it's in c:\programdata\solarwinds\logs\orion\orionweb
