According to the upgrade advisor you cannot upgrade to NPM 12 using NTA 4.0 say's you need to jump to 4.1.2 very strange.

What table did you query and do you have any other applications besides NPM?

Try re-installing the Solarwinds information service located in c:\programdata\solarwinds\installers

Strange that all the services were stopped in the Orion logs do you see an entry for business layer one that might have a time stamp after you left the office?

Are the polling methods the same on the routers that are reporting correctly compared to the ones that are not?

Are you managing the ports on that Cisco 2960 that is not working? and you can check the "Device Tracker Summary" page and see if that 2960 is there.
