We've definitely slowed our update schedule to our environment due to issues on the last couple upgrades. Love getting new features, but we're for sure looking for stability first.

This article has the old link to the Orion Platform HF3 release notes, but as Josh mentioned they're no longer there in the Success Center, and there is no recent update to the thread. Wait before applying Orion Platform 2017.3 Hotfix 3! Current 12/13/2017

If sales doesn't suggest it, then ask that they setup a call with an engineer with you. We've done this in the past an evaluation that wasn't going smoothly.
