I'm a bit confused by this one too. I can see more than one answer to this, unless I am being stupid!

Just a quick update, the alienware laptop is beyond awesome. My old pc, which I thought was quite good, is now sulking in the corner. Since receiving the laptop, my life has changed significantly, I've gained 25kg in weight, I've broken my reinforced computer chair due to the weight gain, I now use online shopping instead…

Same. Got it right, but had to read up about LEM as this is one application we haven't used yet. I guess that's a good thing as I've had to go and read all about it to get the answer

The best news I've had in ages! Cant believe I won the laptop! Cheers very much
-
Doh! I went into one of the pages in the "what we are working on" section and bookmarked that All done now. Thanks
-
Hi Maria, I am using IE but have tried chrome also. I may genuinely have dropped 800 places over a week! Currently on 39,115 points if you could check please
-
Congrats byrona I'm jealous, but not greedy as I won the alienware the other month and its still amazing
-
Same here
-
I can confirm I've received the laptop, well, not me personally, but its been signed for at home. Cant wait to finish work now to try it out

Any news on this? We have a large project that will require a lot of these AP's to be monitored. I see its a year since rob posted about working on Motorola support, are we any further with this? I've added the Motorola controller, that seems ok, but cant see any attached AP's at all.

I've had a few horrors, heres a few... Had to travel from Cheshire to Glasgow (4+hours) at 3am to get to a major high street store for 8am, an hour before opening. A switch had failed and taken out a whole floor of the store. So I prepped the new switch, using the same power lead from the failed switch as that was the only…

Hello, how long should it take to get the points for this task? I've done all steps but dont seem to have any points from it yet.
-
Sorry ttl Here is the beast, its awesome! PS - I had to get the coffee mug delivered to a friend in the U.S who posted it to the uk for me!
-
I have the same error it says i've completed the questions?!
-
Thanks a lot, cant wait to get it!
-
Is it just me or is day 11 really difficult?! I've spent ages on this one!
-
Hi Danielle, just a quick question, as this has now been opened up to international users, is this a step closer to opening up the points store to international users? I would be very interested in an international shop and dont mind paying the postage costs to UK. Sure there are lots of others out there that wouldnt mind…

A nice new Alienware laptop would be great as its my birthday today All questions correct so fingers crossed!
-
Thankfully (for now), I've not got any gremlins, so its all mineeeee!
-
Hmm, been on holiday for a while this month, but just got to question 15... Surely the wording on this is incorrect? Can you have a check for us please Danielle
-
I've also tried it again several times, just keeps coming up with the connecting to demo server screen. Also using IE 11.
-
Congrats to all the winners! Sorry if this has been posted, but last week, I was ranked around 130th in the points table, I go on holiday for a week and come back to see I am 950th! Did I miss something?!

No problem noobes. I would suggest looking at this link below. It looks like this error has happened to quite a few users and there are several steps that you could try to resolve this. http://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/14668

This might not be correct, but i'll have a try... When you add the ip address of the device in "add new node", have you tried selecting "No Status - External Node". You can add the device into NPM and not monitor its status, but also allow the option of adding it to NCM (Standard tick box selection). That way, it will show…
-
Sure, yes if you go into the NCM application and select one of the devices in the left hand column, it will expand into the window on the right. On that page you can scroll down and find out the method of connectivity used for that device. It lets you choose either telnet or ssh. You can test the connectivity for that…
-
That is an easier way of doing it of course! Saying that, i've got schedule notifications set up that show which exact configs are not being backed up and that works well, but if you have connectivity issues, no configs will be backed up for that device of course.
-
Thanks for the reply, I have had a look and cant seem to find the checkbox. Is this in the standalone storage manager? Is it later than version 5.6.2? Thanks
-
Hi KMSigma, no I haven't installed that. How easy would that be to set up if NPM and Storage Manager are both on separate servers?
-
Hi gbggri1, i'll have a go at answering this for you. 1. NCM to highlight config files not backed up. I would suggest going into the NCM application and clicking on "Schedule", then select "Create new job". Next, select "Download configs from devices", Next, give the job a name, then choose the date and time / frequency.…

Thanks, I have now found this. However, I am trying to set a report schedule using the NPM scheduler, using a link to our standalone storage manager server. I have included the username and password in the URL but whenever I try this, it wont go past the storage manager login screen. This is the URL I am trying from the…
