Love DPA. Just received our renewal quote for about 1500 SQL and 200 Oracle licenses. Glad I'm not the one paying for it.

Pay close attention to the answers today. They are in a different order than usual. Don't get click happy.

I'm surprised that 50 of the 80 employees agreed to it. I would be on the skeptical side myself and be part of the 30. I do like the idea of trying to get the most chips. If they implant them between the fingers, by my count I can get 8 before we have to find a new place to house the chips.

Thanks for the assist

This is why I love DPA. I can easily show people their PLE to let them know how well SQL is actually using the memory. Our DBA's have a formula they use to configure the max memory based on the size of the machine. So, after that it's just a matter of letting DPA do it's thing and tell me about all things not working well…

Congrats to everyone.

Every year we have an internal auction where the proceeds are donated to the local arts. As part of that auction, out of warranty laptops are sold after being government level wiped by IT.

wabbott Any way to submit the screenshots other than upload? My company's security software is blocking me when trying to upload.

If the energy prices go negative, do you get paid to use electricity?

The answer is the only one in the strategies.

Out of curiosity, why would you need HA for web servers. Can you just set them up behind a load balancer? Instead of having an extra web server sitting out there waiting, it will actively participate at all times, and pick up the load if one goes down.

Wait. Why is b.r.a.d telling me he forgot his password? I thought he was on vacation in Cancun.

I submitted mine on the 21st (the day after the original post) and still got the message. So, I think most of us are out of luck.

One green checkmark. 19 more to go. The force is strong within me.

Nothing really to add of value. Just enjoyed the article.

Wait. So, you can't finish Battlefront 2 without paying real money for the loot boxes? Guess that's one less Christmas present that I have to worry about.

I like your comment about the inbox rules related to monitoring. I have too many rules set up for items that I don't care about. Some of them from back in the day when I worked in different departments and was never removed from the distribution group.

Thanks to all that maintain the site.

I will say I didn't know that SAP was big enough to put on their own conference with that many people. My only two experiences with SAP. 1. My first IT job as a co-op, my manager was offered a position with another company making a lot more money to manager SAP and he turned it down as he didn't want to deal with it. 2.…

Got it figured out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Makes sense now that I think about it. The creators of the movie were in tune with their inner IT support.

Very insightful. Thanks for posting. This is something I'll have to share with our app developers. I'm a big fan of DPA. We were early adopters as we have had it installed since before it was a Solarwinds product. I'm not a DBA, I only play one on TV. So, DPA makes it easy for someone such as myself that can barely spell…

Started off the month with a Red X.

I've never had Del's. Does that mean I've never experienced summer?

I didn't get the exact answer out of the video, but that may have been because I was multitasking and missed something. So, I just looked at the answers, figured out which was "different", crossed my fingers, and hit submit. Worked out this time.

Thank you for the post. This is one of the daily battles that my role includes. After several years of saying the same thing over and over, we are finally making headway. I actually had one group tell me the other day that they didn't want more cpus on a server running near 100% because they were afraid of creating…

We have been using VMAN for a few months now, but with the recommendations feature being new, we haven't fully started using it. I think it's a valuable tool to help you figure out what is going on with the environment. For those that have been using VMAN for some time, the data can be figured out by looking at the data.…

Agreed. I have SAM 6.4 RC in Lab. Looking forward to full release to upgrade.

Can you provide some guidance on what you are referring to or how to handle this? This is not something I've got into yet.

With all of the comments on the page, you all scared me. Got it right, but I second guessed myself multiple times on what was being asked. In the end, it was my initial answer. As rschroeder pointed out, just filter.
