I've had a support ticket open on this problem for the past 20 days with no resolution other than setting the Default App Pool in IIS to use Local System for the Application Pool Identity. And that's not the recommended way of running IIS according to Microsoft and Solarwinds. Has anybody successfully resolved this problem?

A good start. However some devices like the 2960, 3560, 4500s, and some routers return multiple rows for the 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 MIB with RowIDs starting at 1001. Makes for a huge report. I haven't solved that yet, but will post if I do.

Is this querying the NetPerfMon database? I don't have that table in my database, and the Wireless_Clients_SessionHistory table that I do find doesn't have the InBytes field.

I get an error trying to run these reports under NCM 6.1, with a message saying "Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'GROUP'". I believe the part indicated is here; "where DATEDIFF(day,Interfaces.LastChange,GETDATE()) > 30 and Interfaces.operstatus = 'Down' group by Nodes.SysName,Interfaces.InterfaceDescription". Any ideas?

Since the SDK doesn't have standard support, we have to use this forum to get any help. I posted this nine days ago and there hasn't been any reply. Has forum support for this product been withdrawn? Why no response?

This is long overdue! Here it is almost a year after the first post and no reply, so apparently nobody is watching for duplicates and combining similar threads. And the customer has a hard time finding the current one. This feature may be on the future development list, but we needed it a year ago. When the Custom Property…

Where can I find 9.3 of Switch Port mapper? All I find is 9.2 on the Solarwinds web site. Do you have a link?

This is apparently still an issue. See this post;

I'm testing NCM for use in my company for managing configurations on Cisco devices and like what I see so far. I would like to know if there are improvements coming soon for this product; 1. Increased functionality on the web interface so I don't have to keep going to the server application. 2. More flexible reporting.…

Access to Support has gotten much worse over the past year. When I call, I typically wait about 30 minutes before giving up and entering a ticket online. But even with doing that, it doesn't get picked up for days, so a medium to low priority ticket needs to be escalated even before I've had contact from Support. Once I've…

In a true DR scenario, you would have copies of your backed up configuration files at your DR site already, or backed up to media stored offsite that could be restored quickly. Email is not a secure way of sending any sensitive information, especially something with passwords embedded. Besides, what if in your disaster…

I copied deee-b@lue's script to show what worked for me; <!-- edited with XML Spy v4.4 U (http://www.xmlspy.com) by () --> <!--SolarWinds Network Management Tools--> <!--Copyright 2005 SolarWinds.Net All rights reserved--> <Configuration-Management Device="Cisco PIX" SystemOID=" 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.451"> <Commands> <Command…

I had an issue when using Custom Macros for the community strings in the Node Details. When the string is too long (19 works but 21 digits is too long), it works when using SNMP to reach the device, but the "Community Strings for each node" report would show the macro name rather than the string represented by the macro.…

The web report function appears to be very limited, so many of the reports we find useful are still managed using Report Writer. Unless your report needs are simple, there's not much point in using the web report function.

#6 is a priority for us, with #1 right behind it. Thanks

We need to create a NOC type of display and when projected or shown on a large display most elements in a view aren''t large enough to be readable from a distance. Maps can be handled by creating a large map and using larger icons and text, but other resources don't give us that flexibility. If I set the column width to…

Mark, Have you added these to the template yet or have you heard from anyone who has? I'd like to have these available for our server team. Thanks! Mike
