great feedback! we will do our best to support more versions. btw. we have recently released Beta 1 - see beta section.

there is a new search engine you may currently see in NPM 11.5 beta. we want to quickly adopt that in IPAM which will give you what you need.
-
problem solved. you guys should be "all-in" by now.
-
We tested on Cisco only. even though that rease notes do not say Cisco, multicast in NPM is retrieved via SNMP protocol and we use OIDs mentioned above. That means it will be polled from all devices responding to this OIDs. What vendor support are you looking for?

Hi Andrew, you can click on my profile here on thwack and then click at "send email". thanks, Michal

Hi, it is not temporary.

Hi, thanks for a feedback. Disabling of alerts will apply to all nodes. however if you want to remove multicast polling you have to do that via "list resources". Let me ask you a question, you saying you have 400 nodes which are part of multicast groups and you do not care of multicast monitoring or are you using different…

ok, thanks!

Hi everyone, this HW health features has became interesting. We did not receive feedback like this during our beta or RC phase and we are working on feasible solution for everyone. The fact is that our HW health just returns statuses of sensors or HW health software of router, switch or other networking device. If device…

It's necessary to upgrade to NPM v11.x before the upgrade of IPAM (it's mentioned in release notes) - in a case if you use NPM of course. Our support is willing to help in a case of any problems.
-
do you feel a need to have UDT date integrated with another solarwinds products like NPM or IPAM? thanks, Michal

Unfortunately we've lost custom SQL for this alert with migration to FSDB in version 4.x . I've feature request for alerting on flow and it's in our backlog for implementation. However I don't have more short-term workaround for you. We have to add it OOTB. It's fully valid request and it make total sense to me so I'll try…

Hi, sorry for delay - I was out of the office. I've tested your scenario where the config should looks like this: correct? but the result looks like this: this is obviously wrong since I set power user role to the two dedicated subnets from above. Our DEV & QA teams will look into this and try to compare to 3.1 where this…

You're right Richard, our tools are not primarily designed for billing purposes (or "re-play" simulation) therefore data deletion mechanism is more oriented for data consistency and performance. I'm curious about your nodes where you want to keep in the database. What exactly you plan to do with the data? It's there for…
-
Hi Shay, what events you correlate today (I guess manually).?
-
good use case. thanks for details

Hi, your thoughts make sense. The problem of IPAM is, that the "polling load" is quite a low, it's typically DB that causing the issue. I think, what the people would like to see is for example, increase the parallel scans of their subnets (if many) or put remote poller into subnets that have duplicated IP ranges so they…

Thanks for feedback guys. This is definitely something we consider to add into IPSLA Manager. I added this as feature request (for internal folks see FB86501). thanks, Michal
-
good to hear your interest guys. What we are working on for this release - as a start - are UnDP objects on maps (yes, I know it's a common and well known request).
-
Hi Steve, structure related question should not be a problem. I'll ping development so they can discuss this with you. Michal
-
nice details, thanks!
-
Hi, what you wrote make really sense - especially part about periodic subnet scans. As I wrote above, we are considering this support but it is not a high priority for us right now. But I'll keep you informed. thanks, Michal
-
Hi bhooper, I just validated the functionality so let me clarify that. With VNQM as it is in beta - you will be ablt to poll PRI utilization on a cisco media gateway gateway (trunks, voip & data utilization). but you won't see details about SIP or H323 codecs. It would be great to get your input on the data you may get…
-
Awesome! thanks for tech. specs. we will definitively take a look on that and what it would mean for us to implement it. thanks, Michal
-
got it - I've added a feature request for that. thanks, Michal

Hi Wesley, it seems that link with image is broken. Anyway, we've reached GA of VoIP & Network Quality Manager 4.0. You should be able to download latest version from your customer portal or from www.solarwinds.com thanks, Michal
-
thanks for all details - we will take this into account and I would contact you for a short meeting if needed. Michal

New version of SCOM MP just arrived. It supports SCOM 2012 - http://downloads.solarwinds.com/solarwinds/Release/Components/SolarWinds-Orion-ManagementPack-v2.0.0.zip

All, thanks for the feedback. We will look at how to address the issue with not optimal usage of space on hi-res displays. We're continuously working on next-gen UI (for example drag&drop customization of the pages, dynamic content adjustments according to the screen resolution and ratio or full menu customization.). If I…

thanks for info "familyofcrowers". Do you think you can open support ticket for no data for Cisco 1231 and include SNMP walk? We would like to investigate that. thanks for your time, Michal
