When you ran the configuration wizard for the NPM install, it should have asked you to specify the database server, username, and password for the NPM install. Did you have to put in any credentials there? What happens if you re-run the configuration wizard?

It's now included within hotfix 3. I believe the same file is changed.

If you customize the page, add the resource Universal Device Poller Status. This will list out all pollers assigned to the node, the latest polled value, and the last time it was polled. Does this show any data?
-
Those are on the server as part of the Windows scheduled tasks. Those can be problematic to try to move.
-
First, on the poller you showed the screenshot for, choose the vmDisplayName column as your label. Then create a new tabular poller for the remaining mibs that make up the table. Once done, edit the Tabular Poller resource on the website, select all the pollers you've created, then choose as the label, the label for the…

Yeah, without removing them, or limiting to view to all other nodes but them (which would pull them out of all the resources) there's not going to be anything you can do to just remove them from that chart/calculation.

I'm on 11.5 as well. It wasn't an issue in previous releases and is due to the alerting in the web, and the special character being seen as HTML (I'm assuming). I've had no real traction on my support case other than it's with dev, it's been acknowledged, and you can revert to the old alerting (not something I'd recommend…

You just have to make sure that you have the Device_Type custom property configured in your environment, otherwise the alert won't trigger for you. There is a bit of a flaw in the logic as the query is looking for any node that has an average that is 10% greater than and average of it's average of that week. There's going…
-
For the specific timeframe that is being pulled no. The report, unless you are summarizing, is going to show every data point during the time the device was polled. Without summarization each data point will have the same values. So all of the 1st data point values will be the same, all of the 2nd data point values will be…

This is normally done using either SNMP or WMI to poll the disks individually. Are you looking to sum these up into an overall stat?
-
Is this a physical drive or a network drive you are trying to hit? What if you use powershell from the SolarWinds server to connect to the SAP server and run the same commands.
-
A remote poller license would be required if you are going to setup a remote poller. Other than that, the only other options you'd have is telling SolarWinds to just use SNMP for the status (if you are on NPM 11). Another option would be to use a Toolset tool on a different machine, if you have Engineer's Toolset.

You don't need SSL. I was merely making note that the only time I've seen issues with the Export it was due to SSL being enabled incorrectly. If you're not using SSL, then don't enable it, as there's no NEED to do it just for Export to PDF. One thing to check is to make sure both Network Services and Authenticated Users…

jjurisch, in regards to licensing, I was referring to license level, NPM SL2000? SL500? SAM AL???

If you look at the chart you grabbed, there may be reference in the chart to either a custom poller assignmnet ID or a node ID. If it's the nodeID, just find the NodeID of the other nodes and edit the html you are using for another resource and change the netobjectID N:## to the NodeID unless it says NodeID. If it's…

Throwing an ORDER BY variable in a URL wouldn't go back into the Report writer to update the .OrionReport file to change the Order By in the report, then save that change. The logic just isn't there. Regards, Matthew Harvey Loop1 Systems

You'd have to edit the group and into the Advanced Settings of the group change the group to show best status. This will prevent that group from showing as down unless both members of the group are down.
-
I would imagine it chooses by order of creation. Those that were created last would be the first disabled.
-
The information is kept in the AuditEvents table for about a year. It should be in there.
-
Make sure there are no add-ons disabled. Also, are you constantly being prompted to install something when you go to each of the Orion pages?
-
I think that looks to be a bit better. You can check the query by running Select TriggerQuery from AlertDefinitions Where AlertName = 'Name of your Alert" against the database, then copying the trigger query to verify the encapsulation is the way you need it.

It's not the switch, you need to configure the router. Unless you have a Layer 3 switch that supports Flow commands. NProbe will simply collect flow and send it to the NTA server, it won't get Flow data from a windows machine. You have to configure a layer 3 router for flow. Regards, Matthew Harvey

Not by what I've seen, but I haven't used the API much.

You should be able to upgrade the existing environment from 10.0 up prior to moving it. I would recommend upgrading the 10.1 then up to 10.3,with NTA moving from 3.7 to 3.9, then move to the new system and continue the upgrades to 11 and NTA to 4.0.3

I notice you have a scheduled time to work with a tech setup. We will make sure we get this addressed for you.
-
What are the results if you specify the user name? Also, what are the results if you were to try to do the same search from the Orion server?
-
I'm not sure of a powershell monitor. I know one way would be a firewall rule allowing ICMP traffic from that router to the poller and back. Another might be to have a system that runs maybe a copy of Engineer's or Standard Toolset with a ping monitor on that device. It would have to be the alerting point in that case…
-
Unfortunately no, this wasn't introduced until v10.3. I would highly recommend an upgrade of your Orion system in order to take advantage of this feature to get the alerting you are after.
-
ah, for some reason I was thinking the network tab at the top. Have you also tried going into the Web Console Settings and updating the Maximum number of data series displayed on chart option? This may help as well. Part of the issue may be with how SolarWinds is receiving the data and not collapsing it where a Cisco Nexus…
-
No, I don't think the Toolset Sonar does any of that, it simply will show SNMP and ICMP responses. It isn't as up-to-date as the Orion demo. It still only works off SNMP.
