Hmm I have not tested this but have you tried using BBCode? Have a look here: Hidden Gems of Web Help Desk - Text Formatting with BBCode

Having an issue here adding nodes. I have enabled Windows Authentication on the PowerShell website on each, setup WinRM: winrm quickconfig winrm set winrm/config/client @{TrustedHosts="SAM_SERVER_IP"} And there is no firewall on. One server reports Test Successful! - all of the others report Failed to create powershell…

Node is managed with WMI. Still learning SAM so am not sure where List Resources is?
-
Cant see this anywhere in the customer portal - only version 10.6. Could you let me know where in the customer portal? Thanks in advance.
-
Figured it out. Just went ahead and deployed it and then went to edit the SAM template for AppInsight and noticed the Configure Server button. This worked! Would like to know what the manual steps are though so I can understand how it works for troubleshooting.
-
Good list of improvements there. Custom email templates and improvements to the reporting and it would be better than good
-
Why is this not there yet?!??!?!
-
Customization in Web Help Desk email templates is very, very basic. This feature seems like it has been overlooked - email templates should go out and look professional but there is no graphic support, no html and no CSS.
-
Is there anyway to amend the DAG info or Databases Custom PowerShell Monitor as it is currently telling me the server is not in a DAG and also for Databases it has an error message: Unexpected error occurred. error while processing component ABXM:4227, error details: SolarWinds.Orion.Common.SWException: Cannot process…

I would be interested to help.

Web Help Desk sends out its default tables with graphics - it has background images within tables in HTML do not render properly in Outlook. Try looking at the email in a browser and you will see what I mean.
-
The tasks seem to do what we need it to do. Appreciate that - a pre-sales person said we could not do it.
-
I have also put in a change request to improve email layout, include more variables and allow better branding of the product in general. But email templates is the stand out one.
-
Thanks Bronx - will have a look before I ask anymore questions!

Interesting issue so far. We have some mailbox servers that are patched to level 14.01.0355.001 and some on 14.03.0174.001 - this is due to restrictions we have and this will be rectified soon. The DAG info script has triggered and error due to this: PowerShell script error. An Active Manager operation failed with a…

Ok I am beginning to understand that the alert sharing variables depend on what is set on the trigger condition 'Type of Property to Monitor' So it looks like I need to add an alert with the Property to monitor set to AppInsight for Exchange: Application and use the variables ComponentsWithProblems. At the moment with the…
-
It would be nice to know which component has triggered an alert. So for example the there is no way that I can see to pass that this particular I/O issueonly that the template has an alert. So you cant gauge whether its a serious issue or not without then going into SolarWinds Orion. We use Web Help Desk integrated with…
-
Perfect – help appreciated
-
You cant unfortunately - its hard coded. You could use SQL reporting if you are using a SQL server but SolarWinds wont support that...
-
Couldn't agree more - the integration is piecemeal at best.
-
I have got to agree with Richard. It does seem rather disjointed if all feature requests or ideas are not visible in the same place. It makes it difficult for both the end user and the WHD team. Also some of the ideas/feature requests have been sitting in there for some time and have plenty of votes. Surely a decision…
-
It does but I'm not sure if WHD uses the 2007 methods/properties as the documentation says Exchange 2010/2013.

I have a similar issue where it is not emailing tech groups. I have had a call logged for weeks now and keep getting told they are looking in to it.
-
I had a look at doing this but if a node has an intermittent issue you will have tickets close and open all the time. Also what if you are still working on something and the alert clears and closes the call. You will have to update a call that is closed - this may create issues with reporting.
-
Upon further use I can see it is difficult to see what is actually causing an alert without going into the application monitor itself. Variables such as ${ComponentsWithProblems} would be useful. Are there any plans to add to these variables?
-
Thanks - I did see that but was hoping for some examples. Any reason why the alerts have no default variables set as in other default alerts?
-
You need to include variables in the Alert Sharing tab of Alert Manager. Every one that you include will be passed to WHD in the SolarWinds Orion field. One to note is that if you want to populate Request Detail in the Web Help Desk ticket you need to add a Property Name of Status Description. You can then add text and…
-
Thanks again - will explore those component types.

Has all the basics.

Cant see this anywhere on the customer portal. All I can see is 10.6. Anyone guide me to where it is?
