That sucks. I had the problem where reboot alerts quit along with a few other annoying little things that I got resolved after a few hours. Mostly no one noticed aside from me so I was happy for that at least.

I was so relieved when we racked the ExtraHop appliance. It blows SolarWinds away when it comes to clicking a few times and getting all the certificate information you could ever need.
-
Never been asked to look at that, this is the DFS monitor I'm using: On the template search page (where I found this one), it does look like someone created a template specific to what you're asking for. Several in fact. Not sure if they'll do the job for you but hopefully it'll be easier than watching a spreadsheet. The…

See if putting in an extra line with a minimum volume size helps, that way it'll ignore the drive if it's showing up as 0 bytes. Can't remember if that was the exact reason why we added that to ours, that and we actually do have sole volumes smaller than a GB still.
-
I'd put it on the front page of NPM if I could.
-
You can test it by using the simulate button when you're done with the alert creation. Alternatively if you want to really see if, just put your own email address in for the recipient and then you can actually build your alert and execute it. Aside from that, unless you have your custom property to be filled in "yes", you…

Nailed it. Nice work.

I just bumped it to 20 minutes and I'll check later today to see if there are any more of those dips. Hopefully that's all it'll take!
-
Thanks for responding so quickly--I'll have to check those links out and maybe join that training session as well.
-
Yep, check this 100%. As far as WMI and SNMP, you can absolutely monitor Windows servers via SNMP, fazl-e-azeem, I have a mix of SNMP and WMI for the nodes I monitor.
-
That sucks that it's still an issue after the upgrade. I was eyeing the new NPM and SAM but now I have the primary, and three APEs so it's not going to be as easy as things used to be. Waiting for the next go around with the software when this pops back up again. So far it's still working for me but I know it's just a…
-
Curious, why do you say that? I did an upgrade and have only had a few relatively minor issues.
-
No issues here.
-
I don't have the alert text that I put in, but my issue was that I could structure an alert to get either the component status and expiration date, or the certificate name. There's a shared template you can download via the console from Thwack that might help. I was trying to combine two application monitors…

Yeah, there should most likely be something listed under add/remove programs, the actual .NET framework. If a repair doesn't fix it, the reinstall might. What you posted sounds like a .NET problem rather than a SolarWInds problem. I'm biased however as I just finished a project that required a specific version of .NET to…

Have you tried removing the node and re-adding it? That's of course provided you don't mind losing the historical data.
-
It's come up a few times before, my personal opinion would be to change the title of the product to exclude "unlimited" as it's not actually unlimited and we all get the fun task of explaining that when we need additional licenses purchased for a five-figure sum each go around.
-
This is what I've been doing: Reboot Alert - Why so silent?
-
Well that sucks. I would have guessed that NetPath is tied to the authenticated user. I wonder now how exactly SolarWinds did do the integration if only to satisfy my own curiosity.
-
Doesn't appear to. To be honest I never looked at it when my O365 path worked so I can't definitively say whether it's different or not.
-
At first I only had the one poller with about 10,000 - 11,000 elements, even on that original (now primary) poller I didn't have any problems, you should most likely be good to go.
-
Why not just use an application monitor for DFS on the node(s)?
-
"I would rather have a non sluggish web console than Meraki monitoring. I don't use Meraki." "I would rather have bulletproof server certificate inventory, reporting, management and monitoring than a silence alert feature." These two right here are huge for me. I could not agree with you more on these points. Both have…

I'm actually now 1 for 6 with my attempts to contact support. I just resolved the issue I was having myself... again. Time to close my ticket with the "Well, thanks for not accepting the ticket but I'm all set now." email.
-
Weird that they are saying that--I wasn't privy to the discussion that went on when we modified our license position, but I never heard about the SLX license not being valid for the APEs as each of those already has their own license... as additional pollers they should be tied to the primary where all the licensing should…

I was provided this URL when I had pretty much the same question though I got the information after my upgrade: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Orion_product_installers_for_main_poller_additional_polling_engine_additional_web_servers_and_HA?CMPSource=THW&CMP=DIRECT This…

That's what I'd been doing, probably will adjust them again after a week or two to see if what I put is actually accurate. Thanks for posting the recommendation from support!
-
Weird, so what does the text of your alert read when it gets logged/emailed? Here's one of my alerts: It's odd that you have the time setting on your alert and you're still seeing it fire off when it shouldn't. You might not need the laptop part of your alert if you're already telling the alert to target servers--however,…

The person I spoke to on the phone basically told me to just let it go and to not worry about it. Once it's expired it'll go away.
-
That's normal to have to pick a node for simulate/execute, like how you can pick test nodes when making application/component monitors.
