mwis, if you are still having a problem with this please open a support case so development can investigate. We will need a set of diagnostics as well as the PCAP.

Go to the node and click "List Resources". Remove the CPU and Memory pollers and try to add them back. Also, are you sure SNMP is configured properly? Are you getting Interface Utilization or Volume information for that node?

DNS is resolved based on the IPAM server's DNS settings. From the IPAM server, can you succesfully resolve the addresses?

Thanks Nicki. Occasionally we make mistakes, but we are working on processes to catch easy ones like this. Never hesitate to call us out though we'll get it fixed. Mav

Order ID is not required, you can enter 0000000000 (10 zeros) to run the demo mode. If you purchased nProbe you should enter your order ID so your are not limited to the number of flows you can process.

cgregors, You should be able to do this. If you change the settings on the account level, you can hide the other views and enable the IP SLAM views. However, if they have Admin rights, then they can change their access to these views. I recommend creating a view for the voice team and remove the other modules. Also, make…

It may not be detecting the correct connection type. If you change the connection type from direct to all, do you see your device? We made some improvements in the connection type detection in the latest build which I have just sent to you (PR2). Let me know how it looks after installing that.

vccy118, Are you sure you have flow ingress enabled for all interfaces? If so and you are still seeing this, you may need to open a support case. Also, make sure you are using v9 because that tends to be more reliable in general. There could be a bug in the IOS as well, but that is just a guess and not based on any actual…

Byron, I took at look at this on some of my lab machines. I'm able to reproduce your problem and will work with the guys to see if we can get it fixed in an upcoming release. Unfortunately, there isn't really much we can do for 10.2.1 or 10.2.2. Chrome works consistently so if that is an option you should be good until we…

1. Brandon, unfortunately the 95th percentile calcuatlation is only over the entire time period, not just the viewed / time selected period. There is a bug in the new 3rd party charting component we are using. Once that is fixed we will be able to consider drawing the 95th percentile for the smaller time period. 2. Yes, we…

rjager, does it just show the "admin" account? I haven't seen any other customer issues around this, but if you are seeing "admin" then I'm able to duplicate that and will have dev look in to this problem. Mav

From the web console, you can click on Reports and select the report you want to see. Have you tried just using that direct URL? We could certainly add some features to make it easier, but this should get you by for now. Here are some other threads which have good information on this request.…

Unfortunately this is not enough information for us to help you. Can you send a screenshot with the problem? Also, we really need diagnostics to sort this out (which is best sent through support).

Sorry for the delayed response. I saw this after your post in the IPAM Importing thread. I've logged the request and will consider this is a future release.

cflowd should work without any problems. NTA requires the fields discussed in this KB. My recommendation is to turn it out and find out :-) Can you tell me the exact platform you are looking to configure this on so I can try to help point you in the right direction for configuration assistance? Mav

Jason, Sorry you are having problems with this. I've opened an internal case (86654) to track the request to set the parent for individual subnets (instead of needing to select 2). Until we can get a better fix for this here are a few tricks that might help out .We're also actively working on improved importing which would…

OP User, Is there a reason you are trying to install 3.0? The current version is 3.7. Also, you mentioned you do not have access to tech support, is your maintenance expired? Mav

Do you see any events that might indicate a problem? Sometimes the ip address that the flows are coming from is different than the IP being managed by NPM. This needs to be the same. You can either configure the device to source the traffic from a specific IP / interface or you can manage the node from the other address in…

nwops, When we try to ping a device, if it doesn't respond, we go into fast poll mode and try to ping the device 3 more times before reporting it as unavailable. Can you provide more details about what exactly you are trying to do? Are you trying to send more pings to make sure the device doesn't show as down when there…

Can you provide a little more detail about what you are trying to do? There might be a better way (for example, view limitations or using groups). I'm not aware of any limitations, but I've asked someone from dev to comment. Are you getting an error? Mav

Jorge, when you log in to the windows domain controllers, do you see any login events? It's possible your DC is not logging these and therefore we are not picking them up. There was another thread with some great troubleshooting steps by chronos Mav

Matt, You are correct, there are some issues with the utilization based on the interface types we collect. In the next version, we will tighten this up a bit and make it easy to modify. In the meantime, here is some information that should help you. ifTypes we count for capacity: 6,22,23,53,54,56,62,69,70,117,118,135,136…

Unfortunately, there is not a way to set this globally. This is a known request and I've added you to the list of people that would like to have this. Thanks for the feedback!

This is not currently available, but it's something we are interested in for the future. Can you provide more details about the specific use case as to why you want to do this and what you would do after you have this information (for example: just print it out, change network settings like VLAN, etc.). Thanks, Mav

Wireshark capture of output index from device.
-
Sharad, NTA requires the interface index in the flow to match an interface index of a currently managed node. If you look at the interface details page, you will see the interface index (see screenshot below). Depending on the exact device, you should be able to configure how sFlow behaves and what index it sends. If you…

This is usually caused when a device is sending Netflow data but you are not managing the device in NPM. Also, if the IP address you are managing is different than the IP address that the Netflow packets are coming from then you can get this message.

serpiverde, ToS is used to specify the type of service that certain traffic in the network should receive. However this is now deprecated and most people should be using DSCP. See this previous thwack thread for more information and let me know if you have any other questions: Mav

Jason, There is no hard set maximum number of groups. As you pointed out, having static groups has much less impact than dynamic groups, but even then, there will still be internal limits. One of our larger customers has about 600 groups, about half dynamic and half static. As we get more requests for larger numbers of…

Don, Unfortunately, we were only able to include 1 report with UDT. It is in the Custom section - see screenshot below. I expect to put several on the content exchange this week and then update the reports and alerts for a future release. Is there a specific report you are looking for? List of ports inactive for last X…
