So I have figured out how to do it. I was only selecting the connection profile where I think I needed to include the communication section also. Sorted.

Nothing exciting here...

Sorry @sean.martinez I jumped to a reinstall before trying your suggestion. I have checked that service and it appears to be running. After the reinstall I now get the following error: Progress??

Already been mentioned I think by a few but the option to choose a custom property to display would be useful.

We've used a mixture of both and generally not had problems. There has been occasion when the port goes into an err-disabled mode when using 3rd party SFPs (with Cisco) but there is a command to enable the use of 3rd party SFPs when this happens and it bypasses the Cisco default restriction; after inputting the command…

Had the question answered here: Cutting Down On Alerting Noise: Guest Post From Support - see the comments below.

Did you get anywhere with this?

I know this is old but thought I would still contribute just in case you're still unsure: You need to go into the page customisation settings and add a resource call 'custom html'. Once added, go back to the page you just added it onto and edit it. You need to anchor the site you want to embed between an iframe as follows:…

Does that switch come off the same router / firewall as the ones that are pinging? Just a thought because we had this issue, you might want to check the access lists on the router/firewall to make sure that your Solarwinds server is allowed through. If it's not permitted it won't be allowed to access it; preventing pings…

You might need to add the Solarwinds IP address to the access-list, on the device you want to add; depending on your set up. For example this is something similar we have to add in for Cisco devices: access-list 3 permit 'SOLARWINDS_IP ADDRESS'

Managed to sort this myself now. After a few hours and a bit of hassle I seemed to have resolved the problem. In the end I re-installed IIS on the server and re-run the website installation via the configuration wizard and solarwinds is back. Phew.

Did you get anywhere with this? Noticed it was quite an old post. I've stumbled across account limitations etc which seem helpful, but can't seem to find anything to prevent an account deleting nodes, whilst still allowing adding/editing nodes.

Some people need to chill and get perspective. Some of the Thwack store items are actually good stuff and it's totally free! You accumulate points freely and even don't have to pay delivery charges! I don't think there is any room for complaining I must be honest. Keep up the good work Thwack team!

I can't answer all your questions, but here are some thoughts for two of them: Question 1: We have a lot of slow down with our web interface occasionally and a lot of time it is down to the log files and temp files that have been generated and built up over time. The database file becomes huge if these are not condensed.…

We would use it to just make our lives easier. What has already been mentioned plus the ability to automate the creation or deletion of an IP reservation on our DHCP server.

Never mind. Just found the answer here: Re: SAM: Alerts tab web console Should have looked harder.

If you log into the customer portal - Customer Portal Login, under downloads is an 'upgrade adviser'. This will assess your current versions and hardware and give you the information you need. It will flag anything that you might not be aware of also, like specification requirements etc. I found it very good. Give it a try.

I have raised a ticket with the support team and will report the outcome for anyone else who may run into this issue.
